The Wave Beach Bar & Surfing — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Was there for dine in dinner a retreat with fellow members from Asia Professional Speakers Singapore (APSS) in march 2024. Saw relatively ok Google rating (4.0) and decided to give it a go. We were WRONG. this place is absolutely only a bar or hang out place, and not a dining or eating place. Food was terrible, prices higher than other comparable options. Took a long while to get our food too. We ordered sea bass and were only told after waiting half an hour that they were out of bass for the day. They only had the musical bass and not the one that can fill our bellies. In the end we just ordered anything else and anything else still took a long while to make it to our tables. Absolutely starving by then. The only redeeming thing was the fireworks they set off. Everything else literally fizzled out for them.

Came on holiday for one month, has been my favourite place by far.

The staff are fantastic they are more than happy to have a conversation with you if alone and are very attentive.

On top of the great location which is stunning, the beds on the beachfront are amazing, the atmosphere is nice and chilled it's not to over the top and the staff help create a great atmosphere.

The owners are great people and will help any way they can again they help create the atmosphere for me.

Everyone is incredibly friendly from surf staff to the kitchen staff I have felt very welcomed here as a lone traveler and will miss the place alot, I don't want to single any staff out or the owners as everyone has...

I came to this restaurant again because I used to enjoy it and visited often last year. This time, the place was almost empty. I ordered a glass of wine to start and waited. After quite a while, I noticed the wine was poured and placed on the bar, but it was never brought to my table. The waiter and bartender were standing nearby, yet no one served it. Later, the waiter came over and told me that my order was not available. I asked again, and they repeated that the drink was not available. My menu was taken away from the table while I was still choosing my dinner, and the glass of wine I had ordered remained standing on the bar. I’ll let you decide what to think about...
