Khun Yaa Seafood in Surin Beach is a true hidden gem that perfectly blends authentic Thai flavours with the warmth of a family-run restaurant. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with such genuine hospitality that you immediately feel like part of the family.
The food here is nothing short of incredible. The Thai Beef Salad, in particular, is an absolute standout – hands down the best I’ve ever had. The beef is tender and juicy, paired with fresh herbs and a perfectly balanced dressing that gives every bite an explosion of flavour. You can really tell the dishes are made with care and passion, as everything tastes so fresh and vibrant.
What makes this place even more special is that it’s so affordable. The quality of the food is exceptional, yet the prices are surprisingly cheap, making it an incredible value for such a memorable dining experience.
On top of that, they’re thoughtful about dietary needs and cater to nut allergies without any fuss, making it a great option for anyone with food sensitivities.
If you’re in Surin Beach and want an authentic, home-cooked Thai meal served with a side of genuine hospitality, Khun Yaa Seafood is the place to go. It’s not just a meal – it’s like being welcomed into a Thai family’s kitchen, and I can’t wait to...
Read moreThis is exactly the type of “local” place we were hoping to find in Surin beach area and went back 4 times because we loved it so much!
It’s a family run restaurant and the service is amazing - incredibly friendly, warm smiles and everyone seems to be having a great time. The restaurant is a good size for this area but also feels like you’ve been invited into their home.
The food was amazing - we ate out at several different restaurants during our time in Thailand and this restaurant excelled in every classic Thai dish we tried. The notables were the stir fried morning glory (truly amazing), the spicy Thai beef salad, the red curry beef soup and their spicy crab. Also their mango sticky rice was my fave we had in Thailand.
The ONLY slight negative is that it was maybe a touch more expensive than other restaurants nearby but it’s truly a “you get what you pay for”, we may have spent 100 more Baht on a meal here than say down the road but it was...
Read moreWe came during ‘rush hour’ and waited for a table which wasn’t the issue, we ordered while waiting and soon were sat down. We got our drinks about 10 minutes in and were told to wait 30 minutes for our food which was bearable. When 45 minutes passed we asked again when we would get our food as not much was coming out of the kitchen and several others were also waiting for food, and were told to wait another 30 minutes which we told them we already were told 45 minutes ago, we decided to wait as the waiter told us it would only be about 15 minutes which took another 30 minutes to get even our starter of morning glory. Again we waited another 15 minutes before receiving our 3 main dishes, the food wasn’t bad at all but not worth the almost 2 hours waiting for it. I could recommend the restaurant but not...
