I hate to be the first 4 star rating, and in truth this is a 4.5 star, but I feel it’s important to say:
The customer service here is impeccable. They’re accommodating, friendly, and very sociable. The burger that I had (Pablo Escobar) tasted amazing. The beef had a nice char, the buns were oiled and grilled, and the meat allowed to rest—all signs of an excellent burger. That said, I can’t get beyond the texture. It reminds me of many Thai burgers, sadly; the beef has no bite, and the burger falls apart. There is nothing stabilizing the structure, such as a tougher cut of beef in the grind. The burgers just kind of smash as you eat them, and the most resistance here is in the bun, which has much more texture than the beef. Read moreMillionaire Burger at Surin Beach is an awesome little burger joint that’s worth checking out. We tried the Original Millionaire burger, and it was fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and freshly prepared right in front of us. The air-conditioned environment is a great escape from the Phuket heat, and the chill hip-hop vibe with cool music adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
The burgers are priced between 295-450 THB - a bit expensive but this is a tourist town after all, and they also serve beer, which is a nice bonus. Apart from the wafer-thin cucumber shavings, everything was a not particularly tasty mush. There were also a few over-salted fries. All in all, a lunch for almost 500 THB - sorry, dear millionaire owners, but that was only a waste of money and time. Especially as there are really great alternatives in this price segment on our island. Unfortunately it's really impossible to recommend...
