Number One Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

I don't recommend it for dinner. After a beach walk we decided to have some dinner here. However, the person who took our order didn't know English very well and we received wrong and missing dishes. In the end we were asked to pay the dishes either didn't get delivered at all, or got delivered but it wasn't our order so we didn't touch them. Since they don't know English the communication attempts were also meaningless so we just paid what they asked and left. Food was good but the cutlery and the plates they delivered were not clean. Cute place but I don't recommend...

If you can look past the car park and step up onto the Beach, this is a great Bar to sit have some drinks and watch the sun set into the Andaman Sea. The food here is great, very well priced and great taste. The owner "One" is very friendly and he and his wife Gay (who is also the cook) make you feel warm and welcome. They have done a lot recently in buying new furniture and really improving their Beach site. Would highly recommend a visit a drink a feed and then stay...

I've been to this bar many times through my stay here in Phuket as I stayed not far by and the guy and his sister who run the place are the friendliest people I have met! Great place to have a beer, relax, watch the sunset, talk with friends and just have a stress free good time. There are many more people in high season and on New year's the beach is almost filled.
