⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem of Georgian Hospitality in the Heart of Phuket!
Ya ya - best waiter ever!!
We stumbled upon Tbilisi restaurant during a walk and decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip! This place is a true culinary treasure and a warm, inviting spot that instantly feels like home. 🍽️ Incredible Food, Made with Heart The Georgian cuisine here is simply outstanding. Everything we tried was full of rich, authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. We started with the Adjarian khachapuri — the dough was soft and fresh, the cheese perfectly melted, and the egg yolk added a creamy finish that made it irresistible. The khinkali were juicy and flavorful — an absolute must-try! We also had lobio, lamb shashlik, and satsivi — each dish was perfectly seasoned, hearty, and cooked to perfection. The seasoning was spot-on: aromatic and flavorful without overwhelming the main ingredients. For dessert, we had churchkhela and some homemade preserves — delicious, fresh, and very traditional. Every dish we tasted felt like it was made with love and care, just like a home-cooked meal. 🍷 Wine & Drinks The wine selection deserves a separate mention. We sampled a few Georgian wines — rich, smooth, and a perfect pairing with the food. Their homemade wine was particularly impressive — natural, fragrant, and very easy to drink. 👨🍳 Top-Notch Service The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They were happy to explain the menu, recommend dishes, and answered all our questions. Many of them spoke multiple languages, including Russian and English, which made everything very easy. Service was fast, yet relaxed — everything was served at the right pace, and we never felt rushed. Just perfect. 🏡 Cozy, Authentic Atmosphere The interior is cozy and inviting, with tasteful Georgian decor that adds character without being overwhelming. Soft lighting, traditional music playing in the background, and the smell of fresh bread and spices create a warm and relaxing vibe. The outdoor seating area is also lovely, especially in the evening. Whether you're here for a casual dinner or a special occasion, the ambiance is just right. 💸 Great Value for Money Given the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience, the prices are more than reasonable. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised — our full dinner for two, including wine, cost less than at many other restaurants in Phuket of similar quality. Final Verdict: If you're craving something hearty, authentic, and unforgettable — Tbilisi is the place to go. This restaurant offers not just a meal, but a whole experience — one full of flavor, warmth, and the true spirit of Georgian hospitality. We’ll...
Read moreOnly the names of the dishes, music and photos of Tbilisi in a restroom are Georgian here. The food and the atmosphere is from a cafe in any tiny town of Russia. The waiting time is 30 minutes and it doesn’t depend on quantity of people. it was the same 30 min when I was totally alone and when the restaurant was fully booked.
Food: One of the worst Georgian food I’ve tried, because it has nothing to do with the cuisine, just the Georgian food names in the menu cart. I gave it 2 tries and regret it. Food was edible, but not tasty. Also, I didn’t like the experiment with the shape of Adjahuri. While I understand the celebration of Valentine’s, but the shape is there for a reason and the cheese became just a crust on bread. It was impossible to mix it with an egg yolk and butter. Also, the dough tasted very bad. Khinkali is also just a shape, the meat and spices are cheap, strange and hard to chew.
Service: From the beginning to the end I felt unwelcome by every staff member. When I entered the restaurant, the staff was seating at different tables and chatting. They came 3 times per minute checking something at my table. it's uncomfortable when people constantly look at you and stare while you eat. Also, they picked up my plate while I was putting the cutlery down as I finished and took my glass just after I made the last sip. It felt like they tried to make me go away as soon as possible.
In general, only the vibe was nice. Loved the choice of music. However, if you want to eat something satisfying and tasty go to...
Read moreI rarely gave such a low score but the experience was incredibly unpleasant. First of all, the food wasn’t bad but also nothing special. The kebab (mixed pork and beef) was quite good and tender.
Secondly, a few facts that made us uncomfortable: my husband ordered a red wine; when he finished, our server asked if he wanted another one. My husband said no. Server didn’t take the glass away. Five mins later, another server asked if my husband want another wine, my husband said no. Wine glass remained on the table. After a few mins, our male server asked again. When my husband said no, the server said “no?” As if he was surprised. (Totally awkward and annoying) manager was in the corner table near the window working on her computer and occasionally talking to the kitchen or the wait staff. Why would a manager sitting and occupying a table on a busy night doing work on a computer? Most of the managers in the restaurants near by would work the floor and talking to customers or taking orders the table next to the manager was empty near the end of our meal. 3 new customers walked in (2 of them quite tall). They were stuck next to us in a small table. Obviously not enough space… Why not offer the empty table next to the manager and combining 2 to give them more room? They had to wait for us to leave to get more space on the table when we got the bill, there were 2 toothpicks and 1 chewing gum… who’s that for?
Definitely...
