I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the way both the staff and management handled a distressing incident during our recent visit to your restaurant. While I want to clarify that my concerns are not about the food, the experience was severely marred by negligence and a complete lack of follow-up from your management.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and were seated by the window. As the evening progressed, the wind outside began to pick up significantly. As visitors to Phuket, we were unaware of how strong local winds can become during certain weather conditions. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing to warn us, offer to move our party to a safer location, or even close the window as the wind grew stronger.
As a result of this inaction, a strong gust of wind lifted a menu off the table, which in turn knocked over a full glass of red wine, soaking both me and my friend. Our clothing was completely ruined. Although the staff apologized and got the owner on the phone, the response we received was unprofessional. The owner requested receipts for the damaged clothing and promised to follow up with us on Monday, as he was out of town at the time.
Despite multiple attempts on our part to follow up, we have not heard back from the owner, nor has anyone from the restaurant reached out to us since the incident. This lack of accountability and basic courtesy is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that markets itself as a quality dining experience.
I sincerely hope this complaint is taken seriously and that the management reevaluates how it handles customer incidents, especially when it involves guest safety and damage to personal property. We...
Read moreWas about to give 3 stars but manager saved the day. Dinner was fine and we don’t have any complaints about quality or taste of food. Maybe a bit pricier than other places in the area but not too too bad. Like the lamb shank is one of the cheapest we’ve seen here and it was very good. However, people right beside us were smoking. The whole restaurant is an open terrace but wind breeze was blowing all smoke right in our faces. Not a very pleasant atmosphere... Then came the dessert time, we ordered coffee, tea and 2 desserts. First came desserts, then coffee, then we waited but tea never arrived. Neither any staff member to even ask for it. Overall the service was not too outstanding in general but at that point our table has been unnoticed for over 30 minutes. We had to signal for someone to come by and give us the bill. So general manager Vincent B came over and asked about our experience with the dinner. We told him all our concerns and he addressed them as well as he could at that point - was very apologetic, gave us a discount and promised that next time he’ll be there to make sure we receive great service next time. Since it’s our last day on the island I’m not sure if this « next time » ever comes, but the discount was significant enough to make it all feel...
Read moreThe food here is consistently creative and of good quality, in terms of the culinary skills and the ingredients. The location is perfect for a sundowner, the view of the lake and reflection of the distant trees, bulidings and the lights get better and stronger as the night sets in. The beef steaks are their specialty. The slow cooked lamb shank is effortlessly off the bone, and the pan seared salmon steak is fresh and flavoursome. The side dishes of mashed potatoes, cream spinach and cauliflower gratin are all delicious. The chocolate lava cake and the Paris Brest dessert are both decadent and rich. During the day, the tapas sharing plate is great as starter. The prawn spring rolls get the thumb up, big juicy prawns in every bite. The cheese spring rolls with blackberry dip is so moreish! The pot of tuna, salsa with mashed avocado with tortilla chips, once you start you can't stop. The friendly GM, Vincent, greets the guests and full of ideas and suggestions. And the Manager, Khun Ploy, is helpful and professional. A most lovely lakeside restaurant for...
