THERE IS NO PARKING POSSIBLE FOR CARS. Drove an 1h15 minutes in traffic (in low season), arrived at the entrance, and parked. Problem: The parking spots near their tiny entrance (1m wide long corridor) belong to the neighbors, and they do not allow The Beach Cuisine customers to park. They allow me 5 min to go ask the staff of the restaurant where I could park.
And there comes the 1 star: no one cared at all. 3 staff, polite but absolutely not concerned with my problem, just kept repeating "park in the street". And that's it, no info, no help. So we had to leave and go to Carpe Diem, also nice place on the beach , but with plenty of parkings.
Google mentions "free parking on the street," like staff did. It is not really true. First, the streets are so narrow close to the restaurant that you simply can't park. If you drive a bit more, 200m (but who wants to walk 200m under the rain before diner?), the main street is also narrow with high traffic. Often jammed. And there is NO legal parking spot: best you can get, if you're lucky, a spot with your cat half on a small sidewalk and half in the narrow street...
So be advised:
come with your bicycle or little moto come by taxi
Or simply go elsewhere (catch, carpet diem, etc. There are plenty of quality beach restaurants.
As for the restaurant staff: whether they lie by telling you "no problem, park in the street" and therefore perfectly know it is impossible to park. Hence, absolutely no help or even concern provided. or they know very well the streets and all safe and available parking spots, and someone would have proposed to show us where to park. The restaurant was empty, and the staff was not busy at all.
Lie or 0 level service? We don't know. But they left all the group leave to another restaurant without blinking an eye. Really not...
Read moreThis Place was great! We came pretty late on our last evening in Thailand. We mainly choose this place because it was at the waterfront.
At first we thought the prices were kinda high, but to be honest since this restaurant serves European cuisine, you can expect these dishes to be slightly more expensive. If you compare the prices of their Thai dishes with other restaurants around, they are just the same. So I would not say it's pricier than other restaurants.
The food was great! absolutely loved it. For a change my friend and I didn't choose a Thai dish. But rather something western, personally I think you need to be lucky to get a good western dish in Thailand. However I can assure you this restaurant does it right! As an appetizer we had garlic bred which was pretty good. My friend ordered spaghetti with salmon, which she said was amazing! I had a a caesar salad, which had the most amazing caesar dressing I've tasted in my entire life. It was really good. Never had such a good dressing in Germany not even in the US. Yeah it is possible to get hyped about salad dressing. For desert we had a chocolate custard and crème brûlèe which was freshly made. Also really good!
And what I loved especially was the Bamboo Straws! Yes they do cost 20 baht extra, but it's a great way to fight single use plastic. I saw other people reviewing this restaurant not as good, because they think 50ct is too much for a straw. Just remember...it's a REUSABLE straw. meaning you can take it home with you and use it again. And therefore waste less plastic. I just think it's a great idea and very thoughtful of the restaurant.
Also they've a super sweet dog!
If I'm ever in Phuket again, I'll...
Read moreThe Beach Cuisine offers an exceptional beachside dining experience, which made our anniversary lunch unforgettable.
Nestled right on the beach with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, the atmosphere was both romantic and soothing, enhanced by the sounds of the waves. The ambiance was pleasant and functional, with both sheltered and al fresco seating, allowing us to fully enjoy the seaside vibe.
The food was delicious, featuring an intriguing variety of dishes suitable for different tastes, all reasonably priced. The presentation was fun and creative. While the cocktails were outstanding, the wine selection, though varied, was on the pricier side in comparison.
Service was the only slight letdown; we found it a bit challenging to get the attention of the staff, possibly due to the weekend rush and a shortage of personnel.
Another minor inconvenience was the parking situation—roadside parking on Bang Tao road or a short walk away was required.
A standout feature for us was the variety of promotions they offer on different days, making it a venue we definitely look forward to revisiting. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxing, romantic meal by the beach. Highly...
