VERSO Laguna — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

The best place to go to if you care about healthy, nutritious and delicious food! Just opened but already offering great choices for dining in, super tasty, beautifully looking take-aways, offering home-delivery menus, good coffee and a large fridge filled with delicious cheeses, charcuterie, etc.

We came for an early lunch and our food (Mediterranean bowl, salon/egg bagel, falafel Mediterranean bowl) was all outstanding!

I tried the flavorful Khomanee (5*star!) cheese on the side and later saw there are even several vegan cheeses, condiments and what not, to continue the food fest at home.

Special mention: Chef Garfield 🤩recommended to try the orange-cake tiramisu, which was so divine, I will be dreaming about another portion asap (no sugar, coconut cream, tangy orange flavor, hint of mint).

Garfield is not just an ace chef whipping up fantastic menus, he has long studied health/food connection and has created menus which helped seriously ill people (yes, cancer patients) to not just get well, but to even get in better shape than before!

Rest to say that wine lovers will be very pleased with the wide choice of wines from around the world. Other alcoholic beverages are also available.

We went there for breakfast. Ordered three breakfast and drinks, 2 waitresses repeated our order before went away. Coffee and juice came, followed by one bagel breakfast. Never the other two… after half an hour waiting we asked for the other two, they were forgotten!!! How that happened was a mystery to us. Especially cuz the place was very empty. They asked us to wait for 10 mins, the. We checked at 10 mins they asked us to wait for another 5 mins. During the whole 15 mins, never a gesture of any small bites or water as complimentary. And then not another of 15% on the price of the missing two breakfast. We asked for water during the wait and had to pay for that bottle ourselves at the end. The food was subpar and so was the services. I would avoid this place...

I've been twice to Slice and the experience was a bit different.

First time I stayed there and had shakshuka and coffee - everything was very tasty and friendly.

For the second time I had coffee to go and something from the bakery part. Coffee was great, but bakery was not fresh at all - I assume it was baked yesterday. Not sure if this is a standard for bakery to be that tough you need healthy teeth to bite into it? ;)

In general nice place with good coffee and service, but please sell only fresh bakery or don't do it at...
