The cafe has a very nice atmosphere on the banks of the Kwai River, close to the bridge over the River Kwai, which is a very famous tourist attraction in Kanchanaburi. The food in the shop is very delicious and not too expensive. You can park in front of the shop and walk into the shop easily. The atmosphere in the shop is clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning is cool. It is convenient for the elderly to travel and relax. However, the service of the staff in the shop may not be very good. It may be the new staff. At that time, I asked for drinking water but didn't get it, so I had to ask for it myself at the counter. I asked for an additional spoon or fork, but they didn't bring it, so I had to ask for it myself at the counter as well. The dessert that I had to order was the strawberry bingsu. It was very delicious at that time. As for drinks like green tea or coffee, they also tasted good. There are also savory dishes if you want to order, but at that time I didn't order any to eat. The restaurant had 2 outside eating areas and another indoors with air con. Outside you could eat on the river or on an area near to the restaurant building.
There was a good choice of food and we had the shrimp fritter which came with a sweet sauce and crispy coated chicken for starter.
For main we ordered the 250g ribeye and the pork chop both were very delicious and came with a selection of vegetables and a peppercorn sauce.
The only hiccup was they brought the steak whilst we were still eating the starter but this was quickly rectified with a fresh steak being prepared.
The service was good and the staff very friendly. I would recommend going for food here in...
Read moreThinking this restaurant must be very popular among Thai local people, we went on Saturday afternoon around 2pm and it was quite full indoor.
Under the hot weather 99% of the customers sitting inside and there was two indoor dining area.
Since we went on a family day, it could be pretty noisy
Outside on the pier there's seating on the ground that you can feel the river in a distance.
Occasionally there's large boats passing by the pier the atmosphere will be great especially by the sunset.
Food was like what we eat in local Thai restaurant, taste normal.
Drinks was a bit expensive as we always travel to Chiangmai. Avantar smoothie cost $169 bhat but not as good as expected.
Overall is worth going once on your trip to...
