Disappointing and Misleading Experience at Capri Noi Restaurant – Karon Beach

I was walking around the Karon Beach area when I came across Capri Noi Restaurant, which had a large sign outside promoting a pizza special – “All pizzas come with a free drink.” Intrigued, I stopped to have a look, and a staff member standing at the front clearly explained that with any pizza, I could get a free small beer or Coca-Cola.

Based on that, I ordered a Margherita pizza and asked for a small beer as advertised. But shortly after, another staff member – a man with long, colored hair wearing a white shirt – came to my table and suddenly claimed that Margherita pizza wasn’t included in the promotion, and only certain pizzas were. I was confused and pointed back to the sign and also asked the same man at the entrance again – the one who initially invited me in. To my shock, he became rude, dismissive, and even insulted me when I questioned the inconsistency.

This kind of bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable and is part of a bigger problem affecting tourism in the area. Stop with the double pricing, deceptive advertising, and manipulating tourists. I’ve traveled extensively and this type of treatment leaves a bad impression – not just about a restaurant, but about the destination as a whole.

It’s no surprise that tourism has dropped significantly – people are tired of feeling like they’re being scammed at every corner. This restaurant could have easily honored the promotion or, at the very least, been polite and professional in handling the confusion. We came to dinner with my husband. There were a lot of empty tables, we were escorted and seated at a table for four. The waiters brought us the menu, 7 minutes have passed, and we have already chosen what we will order. And then suddenly an employee comes up, without saying hello, asks how many people we are. He says, since there are two of you, sit down where there are two of them. We say that we have already sat here and do not want to change seats, since there are a lot of empty tables and there is no queue. He started waving his arms in front of my face and raising his voice so that we could move or leave. We said we were comfortable here and we could just leave and not order anything. He didn't care, and he started kicking us out. We still haven't found out if the food is delicious there, but if you want to spoil your mood,...

The worst service ever. Staff very unhelpful and only happy to serve certain people and not others. Even when it started pouring with rain and we were sat on a table, which wasn't covered, most of the waiters just watched as we moved our own food and plates while the table next to us was helped immediately. Finally one kind member of staff came and helped. Manager only welcomed some people and despite coming to check on how people were enjoying their meal ( including the one next us), he just walked straight past us. Food wasn't any good either...would surely not recommend this place. Go find another place...there are many around to choose from...rubbish service and rubbish quality at this place....
