Saneha SteakHouse & Royal Thai Food — Restaurant in Karon

I had the pleasure of dining at Saneha Steak House in Phuket this evening, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The background music—relaxed jazz—added a nice, laid-back touch to the meal.

I ordered the chicken Massaman curry (apologies if I’ve misspelled it), and it was incredible. The flavours were spicy (which they ask how spicy you want it) rich, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious—one of the best Thai curries I’ve had and definitely in Thailand without a doubt.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone was professionally dressed, spoke great English, and had warm, friendly smiles. A special mention goes to Hei-di, who was my waiter for the evening. She is truly a credit to the restaurant—friendly, chatty, and incredibly attentive. She made me and my brother laugh sometimes during our meal, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She is a credit to the establishment and deserves a lot of recognition.

The biggest mistake a restaurant can make is not serving dishes at all. Tonight, after ordering, we had been waiting for about 1.5 hours before leaving the place without having dinner. About 5 minutes before leaving, i asked one of the waitresses to give us an update on our order. She smiled, disappeared, and never came back to our table. Pathetic experience.

Edit: Impressed by the owner's detailed response to my earlier one-star review, I went back to the restaurant the next day. This time, things went completely different. Seems like the place takes customer satisfaction very seriously. The staff was super nice and attentive, and they apologised again in person for the previous bad experience. Our meals were prepared fast, and tasted very good. Especially the filet mignon steak was wonderful! Even though I was just a simple customer of the restaurant, the staff did everything to make me feel important this time. And I have to thank them for that. Excellent steakhouse. First of the service. I was greated by professional team. A lady and and gentleman ( mister Chai). The ordering experience is top. They provide an electronic tablet where the menu is straightforward, well detailed and explained. So ordering was a breeze. Took some advice from mister Chai concerning the different cuts and Mbs ratings. Very professional and all the staff speaks perfect English. Order came out pretty quickly. It was a quiet day (national holiday) so maybe different on busy days. The size and doneness of the meat was perfect and according to my preferences( medium).The beef tasted very good.
