A lovely quality-first coffee experience. The best espresso I have had in Bangkok so far, and from a light roast, at that.
An interesting experience getting in- you will press a button at the outside door, then walk through a storeroom office, and finally into the roastery-cafe. Limited seating, about eight seats total.
Asking what their lightest, most acidic and fruity roast is, I was recommended two. I ordered the S-19 from Nan, Suen Ya Luang Syrina, and decided to give it the espresso test.
Despite the espresso extraction, there were no harsh or bitter notes present. An incredibly potent, strawberry smack-across-the-face experience. The espresso extraction did end up obliterating any subtlety from the coffee, but it was supremely delicious.

Read moreNice coffee store hidden in Thonglor area. Beans has many branches around BKK.. Thonglor, Emsphere, Central World and Siam Paragon. For this store, it is not so obvious where the entrance is. You will see clearly the store window but the entrance is on the other side. As you open the door, you need to walk through the office/storage and the cafe stands at the back of the storage with big window display. There are many types of Beans that you can choose from. Every cup of Coffee you order, they will freshly grind the beans for you and you can choose many different Coffee menu to your preference. We ordered Espresso Yuzu Soda and Dirty with C3 beans. The drinks were not too strong and easy to drink. The Dirty was not too rich and was refreshing. The cafe was cute and had limited but comfortable seats. If you are in a hurry, it is not recommended. If you have time, the store setting...
Read moreAnother branch of Beans, this one located around Thonglor. Most of the space here is dedicated to coffee bean storage and roasting equipment. The café itself is quite compact, with only a few tables, but it doesn’t feel too cramped once you sit down. Personally, I think it’s more suitable for take-away.
This time, I ordered the Iced Coconut Flower Espresso and Be Warm Be Kind (an espresso mixed with butterfly pea). Both drinks were well-balanced blends, and the coffee quality was just as good as always.
Parking is along the street, and you’ll need to walk into the alley. The entrance is a bit...
