Beast & Butter : Burgers & Beers (Thong Lo) — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

After months of listening to our friends rave about this place, the fam to check it out ourselves.

First off- great customer service. The staff was super friendly and make good menu suggestions. Servers spoke both English and Thai. They helped us with parking and finding the restroom. We made a reservation prior and were seated immediately. But it seems if you get there early reservations aren’t needed. The servers came over whenever we needed them. We had several special requests, and each was handled no problem. The food was served promptly. Throughout dinner the staff was quick to take away dishes. At the end the staff offered to help us to a photo, too.

For a starter we ordered the fried shrimp. The serving size was decent, and the shrimp had a great flavor. Just a little spicy. Well-made tarter sauce on the side.

Most of the table got the Ultimate Cheeseburger medium rare. The sauce on the Ultimate seems house-made. Great flavor, really brings the burger together. It’s great that you can choose the doneness of the meet. The server recommended the mushroom burger, and it was a good choice. Good flavor mushrooms and quality. They chosen the right beef for these burgers. The bread was soft, buttered and slightly toasted. All the toppings were high quality. The Ultimate comes with a thick style of bacon. Unique from other burger places, but I think I would prefer traditional crispy (which comes on the mushroom burger)

Things got out of hand ordering fries. We got the tator tots, straight fries, and curly fries. All were delicious. My go-to next time would prob be curly.

To wrap things up we got milkshakes. Strawberry, Chocolate PB, Chocolate, and Caramel. That’s also the order I’d rank them in. Really like the strawberry.

We were all-in on burgers, but the sister pizza shop looked great, and you can order Pizza here too.

Comfortable seating with an “American diner/ local bar kinda feel. The neon sign decorations are a nice touch. Very limited parking in the Beast and Butter parking garage. Plenty of room for motorcycles and 3-4 cars, 6 if you double park.

This place isn’t cheap. But for a special meal, DINKs, or others looking for a good burger, this is a great choice. The bill included 10% service and out the With 6 burgers, shrimp, fries, shakes, and water we were 3500...
