Honest review: looking at the previous review we decided with my girlfriend to get a reservation with the 18 courses menu for a total of 16000THB for our very first omakase experience. However we quickly understood why the reviews are so good: they offer you one free course in exchange of a good review here, which felt akward, because if people liked the experience/food/people they will post a review on their own to help the business grow. The place is nice and small so makes it very private and not overwhelming.
The food is very good, but not worth 400$+, we went out a little bit disappointed. The couple next to us had their chef doing a bit more of a show for every courses. Our was barely speaking English but one of the waitress was very helpful so she explained us almost everything but this would have been so much better if the chef did it with a bit of storytelling about the ingredients, fish and all. He was doing the next course while we were eating the previous one, not explaining anything…The dessert is just a si for scoop of ice cream I know you don’t come here for an amazing dessert but come on it’s a 200$+ menu
Conclusion: we had a good moment but we were expecting more out of it, it was just eating 18 courses, pay and leave. In my opinion if you go with the 14 courses you might still be hungry afterwards. The food itself is good but not worth the money. We thought we would be more entertained and being part of a unique experience. The chef is cooking just for you, so he could have walk us through every steps of making the courses, and tell us about the ingredients (because most of them are very uncommon which makes it very cool). Maybe Thai people enjoys it more because they can discuss...
Read moreWent for dinner to try the 12 course Omakase. Atmosphere was poor, chef was quiet and didn’t bother explaining much about the individual dishes and do some small interactions with his customers.
No spectacular performance or special effects in preparing the sushi, example spraying gold dust etc, basically it is just putting fish onto rice and then serving it to you. If I wanted to eat sushi like this, I could have went to a normal Japanese restaurant.
For the total price of around 9000 baht for 2 pax we are paying & on top of opening a sake bottle, it feels overrated and cheated by the 4.9 reviews which certainly does not live up to the standards.
Don’t be deceived by the high review ratings. You can find better Omakase experience elsewhere for the money you are paying. No wonder we were the only customers in the restaurant for dinner.

Read moreDisappointing quality for a 8K baht meal, nothing memorable. Expensive for no apparent reason.
Most of effort are spent on making a big scene presentation with gold flakes and smokes rather than focusing on food itself. Fish quality is more like at 4K baht per person quality at very best, more like 3K. Being in thong lor with 0 Japanese customer is a big red flag.
Decor in the restaurant is also very tasteless, with plastic Sakura tree and stuff. Service is attentive, which is one of few things positive. And same day booking on weekend is also possible, and I definitely learnt the reason for that.
Kinda regret wasting money and time here. Look somewhere else if you expect quality omakase.
To restaurant: Maybe consider spend more effort on the menu than buying bunch of fake good reviews on Google. It will help...
