#CLEANLINESS Though the food is great, clean and fancy BUT the whole restaurant isn’t clean at all, there are flies and few bugs that need to be deal with. This level of cleanliness is exactly the same and local side street small Thai restaurant. As Japanese restaurant no matter how small the place is, hygiene must come first. The worst one is their restroom which looks old & smelly. This place would be much better if these issues get fix ASAP.

KURATHAI SHOKUDO is an absolute hidden gem! If you're a fan of authentic Japanese shokudo, this place is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I was blown away by the experience.

The concept of ordering one main dish while having the freedom to indulge in 12 different side dishes is simply brilliant (come in Saturday to Sunday for tamagoyaki). The variety of side dishes, from fresh raw egg to unlimited curry gravy, ensures that there's something to satisfy every palate.

I tried their chicken katsu, and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just the way it should be. But what truly sets KURATHAI SHOKUDO apart is the array of side dishes you can enjoy alongside your main dish. It's like a mini feast in itself!

The location of KURATHAI SHOKUDO is a bit difficult to find, it is at the end of the alley. It is a small shop with not many seats. When you enter the store, you have to go to near the kitchen to order. After ordering the main meal, you can take all the side dishes unlimited. Side dishes have such as stewed meat, braised eggs, raw eggs, etc. The side dishes are all served cold but they are all good. In addition, there are shredded cabbage, rice and curry to go with it. The soup is miso soup and the only drinks are tea. Most of the main dishes are 199 baht with all the fees included. Pay after ordering and wait at your seat. You have to return your own plates after eating, all the things are very self-service.
