We recently visited Ramentei and it was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was both authentic and cozy, creating the perfect environment for a relaxed meal. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, which made a positive impression right from the beginning.
To start, we ordered Gyoza, followed by Katsu Don and Chuka Don for the main courses. Each dish was of exceptional quality, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors that really stood out. The Katsu Don was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the Chuka Don was vibrant and full of flavor—everything was perfectly balanced.
One of the highlights was being able to watch the chefs prepare the dishes right in front of us. It was fascinating to see the care and attention to detail that went into every dish.
The only downside is that the prices are a bit higher than average, but considering the high quality of the food and the overall experience, it is definitely justified.
Overall, the experience was top-notch, and we will definitely be coming back. It’s rare to find such a combination of great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly...
Read moreA well balanced shio ramen. They were generous of menma (Japanese bamboo shoot), greens, and sesame oil that made this bowl so aromatic. Ramen noodles were small and easy to eat. Though the shashu slices were a bit under expectation, over all it was a good dish.
Mashed garlic in that tiny cup was a game changer. It enhanced the whole bowl with strong flavour of raw garlic (put just small bit in some of your bites, do not suggested to pour all over!) If you think missing something spicy like a Thai person do, they also gave a cup of chili - vinegar paste too.
Gyoza were good, the meat inside was flavorful and meaty. There are 3 kinds of gyoza offered; normal grilled (the one I had), crispy bottom, and deep fried.
Hot or iced tea was free and refill.
Asmosphere: peaceful and calm. Also the kitchen, counter bars, group tables are all clean which I really love about this place.
There will be my second, third and so on times to come back. There are so many Chuka-ryori dishes that I...
Read moreI frequent Ramentai often as it seems to be a Japanese type of diner that has much to offer. The food is delivered hot and tasty and they serve child Asahi on draft. The staff is friendly and very efficient. The open kitchen has a small army of chefs so you never wait long for very good food that is cooked to order. There is no sign in English yet it is easy to find on Google maps and is a short way off Sukhumvit in Phrompong. I have eaten at Ramentai many times and have never eaten Ramen. I usually order their Mapo Tofu, vegetables and noodles, curries, or mixed rice dish. I am not really bothered by MSG but I can sense when it is used. I have never really felt the heavy hand of MSG in their dishes. Since all is cooked to order I am sure you can request that it is not added. This is a good go to place for a hearty meal of home style food at a fair price. Highly...
