Read moreBasically, Benchasiri park is a park that is comfortable to visit because of the size of the park and also for the cleanliness. Inside the park there are 2 children playgrounds where there are slides and swings. BUT, It's really a SHAME, because after 3 pm, when school nearby was over, the boys and girls from that school starts using the swings in those playgrounds and didn't think about the little ones whose running around near the swings , they used the swing very fast and carelessly . I can't understand why the children who should be the one who stop running and be careful with them while swinging carelessly where it should be fun for the children to play and run around. Students of this school should stop using the swings inappropriately in the areas where small children run around and have fun in the playgrounds. This afternoon I saw a very sad incident, when the schoolgirl’s were swinging very fast and carelessly , one toddler ran and ended up being kicked by her who was swinging fast and didn’t stop when she saw the toddler coming, the toddler was thrown and fell. The schoolgirl didn't say anything and just sat in silence. The toddler didn't stop crying for some time. This incident is very sad to watch in a park that should be used for small children not some carelessly school students and when it is clearly written that the swings are for age 5 and under. The security around should do...
Read moreI loved this park before, but lately the park feels like it’s becoming neglected. I still like it because it’s just a good size and so easy to access through the BTS and tourist areas of Sukhumvit. But I don’t know what’s going on, maybe tax or funding problems? I don’t know. The refreshment vendors have been removed which makes joggers have to walk far away during middle of their workouts to get refreshments or water. The bathrooms keep getting clogged up and spreading foul smell of sewage. Sometimes the bathroom stall doors have been broken and unfixed. The drain systems often smell foul. Feels like a shame the park is being so neglected when it’s one of the easiest most accessible parks for tourists. The fountain water often has garbage floating on it and I notice the fish often can’t breathe in the water and come to the surface to breathe air. I hope the park gets revamped soon and maintenanced since I enjoy exercising there. I really wonder if there are funding problems to keep it maintained...
