Complaint Regarding Disappointing Experience at Sushi Seki, Emquartier
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience my girlfriend and I had at your Sushi Seki restaurant, Emquartier branch, on 18/5/2024. We had purchased a special food package via Hungry Hub for 2,499 baht, intending to celebrate a special occasion, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
We had a reservation for 17:45 and encountered several issues that significantly detracted from our evening:
Lack of Knowledge about Package Conditions: Upon arrival, we found that the staff were unaware of the specifics of the package we had purchased. The manager had to intervene, which led to an uncomfortable situation where the staff were scolded loudly in front of customers.
Disturbing Staff Behavior: During our meal, the staff were engaged in loud arguments regarding cleaning and table arrangements. This created a very unpleasant atmosphere and disrupted our dining experience.
Air Conditioning Issues: To add to our discomfort, the air conditioning unit was dripping water on us. Although the staff addressed the issue, it should not have occurred in the first place.
While the food quality was acceptable, the overall environment and the unprofessional behavior of the staff overshadowed our dining experience. This was a special occasion for us, and the disappointing service and atmosphere left us very dissatisfied.
Given the premium price and the reputation of Sushi Seki, we expected a much higher standard of service. Unfortunately, this experience has made us question the value for money and the quality of service provided at your establishment.
I hope you will take immediate steps to address these issues to prevent future customers from experiencing similar disappointments. We would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint and any efforts made to rectify these concerns.
Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreDifficult to locate within the mall. So was a bit of trudge to get there. Got the table in 5 mins. Was told both akami maguro & o-toro wasn't available for a while so I guess all the good shashimi sets were off the menu. Wanted shabu shabu but was told that A5 wagyu wasn't available either! Pretty uninterested staff cause normally under these conditions in good restaurants, people help out by making suggestions. Someone in the adjacent table asked for an English menu to which they said not available & didn't bother to stand & explain things to him either. Seeing this I ordered A4 Nabe & Negi Toro ikura roll. Requested if the roll cud be served first, n once again some bs explanation of sushi chef being busy etc and lo & behold both were served together. Since the Nabe was served with the A4 already in it, so had to eat that first so that the meat doesnt get overcooked. N as expected by the time I got to the rolls they had become hard n kind of stuck on the plate, I guess the strong AC blast didn't help either. The ordeal didn't end there cause I found piece of bone in my roll. Called the waitress n showed the same, she just saw & casually said will tell chef. No further accountability about it! Anyways A4 Nabe was decent but the rolls were below par, not forget the piece of bone. Have had way better sushi in bkk at much lesser cost. Maybe other outlets are better but anyone who has a discerning Japanese food palate should give...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience at Sushi Seki in EmQuartier. As a couple dining with a young child, we’re always a bit nervous about how child-friendly a place will be, but Sushi Seki exceeded expectations.
First off, the food was outstanding. The Wagyu sushi was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth – rich, buttery, and beautifully presented. The tuna sushi was equally impressive, with fresh, delicate cuts ranging from akami to otoro. It’s clear they take real pride in the quality of their ingredients.
We were really pleased to find that the restaurant was well-prepared for families. They had sturdy high chairs, plenty of space for a stroller, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating with our little one. It’s not always easy to find somewhere that balances high-quality dining with a relaxed, family-friendly vibe, but Sushi Seki managed it perfectly.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality, and being located in EmQuartier made everything super convenient – easy to park, easy to find, and a great spot for a pre- or post-meal stroll.
We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone looking for excellent sushi and warm,...
