Read moreWe made a reservation for dinner NYE 2024, but upon arrival, we were told our reservation had been canceled. The reason? We hadn’t signed up for their New Year’s Eve package—something we were never informed about when booking. They claimed to have emailed us, but we never received any email, call, or text notification.
When we asked for a table, they initially refused, offering only bar seating with drinks but no food. After some insistence, they reluctantly allowed us to purchase a package for two people, even though we were a party of three. After further discussion, they agreed to provide a menu for three people at the same price, but by then, the experience had already soured.
The service was disappointing. They made us feel unwelcome, as if they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. To make matters worse, they try seated us away from the main dining area, beside the pool, where it was uncomfortably hot and isolated from other guests.
Then, to “compensate,” one the manager asked us to return the next day for lunch, promising a better table. However, there was no mention of any discount, special menu, or effort to make up for the poor experience. This felt like an empty gesture that only added to our frustration.
The manager and the chef of Sol & Luna BKK have much to improve when it comes to customer service. We strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. It is one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had at what is supposed to be a five-star establishment for NYE...

The establishment itself deserves 2 stars for its lack of creativity and originality in terms of it's menu.
Perhaps it is trying to be a bar cosplaying as a restaurant.
The only semi-creative item on their menu was the lobster tail rice which, was a normal fried rice which can be comparable to Wok Hey rice with an added lobster tail.
We ordered the grilled chicken(it was quite dry) with vegetables, linguine, and caesar salad.
Were the prices justified? No
Was there any creativity in the menu? No.
Is this a Michelin star contender?
Definitely not.
Does it feel like there was any effort put into the menu?
Sure, if you count googling "generic western dishes for a western themed restaurant" and then getting your chef to follow the top 10 results for your menu.
Final year culinary students could make their menu as a practice lesson.
You pay for the view.
The drinks are excluded from the review as the cocktails were not had.
The only drink I ordered was a Roku Gin & Tonic which came in a plastic glass which felt more like a 200bht drink.
If a street/alley bar can provide their gin in a glass, perhaps this place can afford the...
