It’s disappointing to feel that foreigners and locals might be treated differently here.

We had dinner at this Thai restaurant tonight. After we placed our order, the staff asked us to pay before any food was served. We found it quite odd, but we paid anyway.

However, during our meal, we noticed that all the local customers around us paid only after finishing their food. This made us feel uncomfortable.

What’s more confusing is that we actually ate here last year as well, and back then, we paid after the meal—just like everyone else. So we’re wondering, why the different...

This restaurant is weird, first of all it requires you to pay immediately after ordering, secondly the vegetables in the soup I ordered were bad, I asked the waiter and she just stood there and looked at me, I tried a few more times and she just ignored me, omg, I know she doesn't understand English, I took out my phone to translate into Thai, she still wouldn't move a step! We knew the food already from home delivery and wanted to check the restaurant by itself. Delicious with a capital D was the outcome. The somtam, spicy papaya salad, huge portion was sublime. The sun-dried pork tremendous, so where the Tom Yum chicken and the vegetables in Soya sauce. That together with sticky rice and idem dito noodles made it a grandiose diner. We paid only 435 Baht inclusive 2 drinks....
