I wanted a haircut but unfortunately it was a whole total experience for a man I did not expect. First, girls dressed in school outfit was interesting. I felt like I was in a private school with classmates ready to do unmentionable things to you. However, all kidding aside, it was the most entertaining and relaxing (sometimes nervous) attention all guys should get. Probably why it was so packed. Once inside you are assigned a girl (school girl) who quickly exchanges your shoes for slippers. You sit on a barber chair and the first thing she does is clean your feet. You feet is propped up over the sing and does a thorough cleaning between your toes and scubs your heel. Afterwards, I had my beard shaved. Yes, she used a straight edge and skillfully paid a lot of attention to every inch of my face. It was impressive. My face was then wrapped in what I thought was fruit strips. I couldn't tell but it smelled good. After my shave, I was given a very relaxing face massage. I can't count how many times I kept myself from passing out and putting myself to sleep. She was that good and my face felt so relaxing. After the face massage, she trimmed up my eyebrows and next did the unexpected...deep dive into my ear canal to clean them. Yes, she did a deep cleaning in my ear canal. I was totally nervous but she was careful with probing and removing a lot of my own wax. I had to relax. Next, we proceeded to go upstairs for a thai massage. Yes guys, there is more. This is more like what women do in several segments, nails, pedicure, massage, hair etc. This my friend is all-in-one for men! Yes, she cut my toe and finger nails too! Upstairs she got on my back and did a terrific massage. She did traditional walking on my back technique and I appreciated the cracking of my back to relieve my personal tension. She must of done 30 min of massage, but as I said she was making me so relaxed I felt I was going to sleep and start snoring. Lastly, she washed and massaged my hair. Again, I wanted to fall asleep with her hands running through my hair. Shortly after the massage and hair wash I was done. I didn't want to get up. I could of passed out and slept on that bed. I chose this place to try multi-service shampooing in Thailand vs Vietnam, simply because it was the nearest to my hotel. Whilst I have experienced this type of shampoo and massage service multiple times in Vietnam, this is my first time to try it in Bangkok.

At 700baht for 90 minutes, the price is cheaper than Vietnam. Which is surprising when you compare the standard of living in Bangkok vs Hanoi or HCMC.

The number of service items is less than Vietnam though, albeit from shop to shop, this also varies in Vietnam. But the standard items are the same - shampoo, facial, shave, massage, pedicure and manicure, ear care.

However, I must give this shop a low rating for two reasons. For the most part of the first hour, you lie on this barber chair with you legs raised and you neck obliquely inclined downwards. Both my arms were numbed in no time due to the angle of my neck and it was most uncomfortable. And during the shave, the therapist nicked my upper lip area left side. I didn’t know for sure but felt something was wrong. Afterwards when I put on my glasses to go upstairs for the hair wash and massage, I saw the cut.

I am hoping I didn’t get any infection or diseases because they used a straight razor instead of disposable ones.

We all go for these treatments to enjoy the pampering and cleaning. I left the place more uncomfortable than before I arrived. Both physically and mentally.
