Came here around opening on a weekday morning. It was wonderfully quiet but there were already a few people ordering and eating.
Many shops were still setting up but there was a lot of excellent stalls offering a really good selection of breakfasts. There was no English that we saw in the food court (but it is really big, we didn’t even realize there were more options on the other side of the vendors we checked out!) but it wasn’t a problem. Prices were clear and with a smile and some pointing, we ordered what we wanted easily.
The stall we ordered from had a huge supply of dishes. The food was so fresh and well prepared. The woman serving me actually recommended one of her noodle dishes on top of the veggies and stir fried beef, so I decided to go for it and was not disappointed. Delicious! I paid 50 baht for a huge plate with rice, egg, a veggie choice, beef and noodles. My partner ate from the same vendor and he chose three meat dishes with his rice and egg and he paid 60 baht.
The market has a huge amount of coffee and drink vendors, too.

Read moreThis is by far the best accumulation of Thai street vendors offering a wide variety of Thai dishes in good proportions for extremely reasonable prices. I usually end up over ordering and getting two or three dishes so I can sample new dishes along with getting my standard Pad Kra Pao Gai. Even with over ordering my dishes, I usually spend less than 200 baht for my meal and beverage.
The market is very crowded at lunchtime with Thai office workers from the nearby area. Yet I find this is the time that I like best to visit the market. It is a great time for people watching. There is ample seating so you can always find a place to sit. And the food vendors are very quick at preparing your meal even if they have several other orders that they...

With around 70% of the stalls dedicated to food, there's a huge variety to choose from, and plenty of seating is available. Just a heads-up: avoid lunchtime unless you're comfortable with crowds.
The food is authentic and delicious, with most dishes costing around 50-60 baht.
Navigating the market is easy, as every stall displays photos of its offerings. While a few signs might require a quick Google Translate, it's generally very user-friendly.
The portions here are significantly larger than what you'll find at Terminal 21, so you definitely won't...
