I wouldnt even give half a star. The food was horrible. I ordered the meat and it came super chewy with a bad smell. The service was even more horrid. The waitresses are arrogant and ignorant. They were forgetful and didnt care about us at all. They gave you the feeling that they do not want to serve you. They forgot one of our dishes which is 1/3 given that we only ordered 3 dishes. Oh, they have rice on the menu, but of course when we ordered it, they ran out of rice. When we asked for a better seating than stools and asked if we could sit on the second floor, one of the waiters loed to us that it closed (10.20) only to amend his speech when his friend called him out that "oh, actually it closed at 11. You can go up but if u sit longer than 11, you ll have to move down" So we went to sit outside where it was slightly raining. We chose one of the tables under the edge of the umbrella as the others were full. 15 mins after, the same rude waitress came to ask us to move bcos the table next to us needed to extend the table. We told her that we could move if she could manage to move one of the abailable table under an umbrella so we would be safe from the rain. She did. We moved. 45 mins throughout the meal, the same waitress came to ask us if we could give up one of the chairs at our table. It was the one that we put our stuffs on as te floor was wet from the rain. The drunk crowd was also awesome to be around. We just kept hearing people yelling "balls, we are eating so many balls!!"
Just one thing after another, recommendation, dont...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to this restaurant (we're both Europeans). I needed to visit the restroom and my boyfriend was alone in the room, the waitress approached him: "Sir, is this your girlfriend?" He said yes. She went on "Sir why don't you have a Thai girlfriend?" ... My Boyfriend told me about this 'conversation' after we left the place. I found it very-very inappropriate, disrespectful & unprofessional. How can anyone question a person'd choice? Especially in a restaurant when she is the waitress and her job is to serve food and make sure the guests are enjoying the food and the atmosphere. Btw, the food was okay, nothing special. To continue after having read the owner's reply (on 2 December) I really appreciate that you as the owner took the time and provided such a detailed explanation. I asked my boyfriend, he said the waiter did not say anything about my look so please do not write anything down if you cannot prove. It just makes the situation worse. We have been living in BKK for 2 years, everyone knows that (generally speaking) Thai women 1) wish for a white boyfriend/husband and 2) are jealous of the white skin. This situation was not about entertaining my boyfriend or expressing their like on my physical appearance... We both appreciate your kind offer but there is very little chance for us to go back. Please, yes, train your staff. They should know that some topics are sensitive and someone's private choice (especially regarding their partner) is not a subject of a...
Read moreA cozy, not so well managed, but yummy food.
Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp) - When it was first served it wasn’t hot. It was lukewarm instead of sizzling so I had to send it back for reheat. The taste is rather subpar, as I’ve tasted better and made better at home.
Traditional Paella - Lacks soccarat(crispy part). The rice consistency is closer to risotto, I think it needs a few more minutes on the stove. The taste is nice, but not outstanding. The portion seen is for 4 people.
Octopus in olive oil - The size is good, the texture is nice (but could be improved). The sauce doesn’t contribute to much.
Marinated Salmon Salad - I asked them to replace goat cheese with Brie cheese. This dish is probably the best one out of all dishs here! Great balance between sweet and savory. Recommend!
Churros - The texture is fluffy and crispy! Neither the sauce nor the fried dough is too sweet, I’d even say the fried dough could even be used for savory dishs.
The decoration is cute and cozy, better looking in real life. The staff seems untrained but is polite. I assume that some food prep came right out of freezer so the chef had difficulty gauging the right temperature for each dish. Might visit this place again if I couldn’t find better Spanish restaurant at similar price. In total I spent about 2,900 baht for 3 people, and packed leftover...
