So I’m from San Diego and I do try Mexican food from everywhere. So that’s what I focused on. The cheese quesadilla good that was my favorite. Then I had there set of 3 chicken tacos that were ok it’s a “specialty” item. Then I tried there beef, chicken and pork tacos, handmade tortillas were a nice touch. But almost no flavor. The pork tasted like it was cooked in bag almost. The salsas were ok the green guacamole one was the best. The beef burrito was basic nothing special. I’m sorry but paying almost 1500 baht for everything food wise not worth it to me. I would honestly have been ok with paying about 600 baht for everything. Last thing was the service charge 🤦🏼♂️. The owner messed up with this I believe. I normally will always tip a minimum of 200 baht. But when you put in a service charge for basic service I’m sorry it’s not worth it and your servers last out on at least 80 baht because there’s a service charge. Sorry but to force people to tip at a restaurant that isn’t an upscale restaurant with subpar food not good. Sorry but it’s just facts. But the presentation of the food that was actually pretty good. Last but not least. TJ style tacos are served with guacamole on them. The lighter red salsa. Just advice bbq your chilies, garlic and tomatoes. Don’t for get to add more seasoning to it. The cooking of those ingredients are what give the salsas great flavor. The light red salsa had no flavor and the darker one was basically red chili oil. The green had the most flavor. I hope I come back this way again and see...
Read moreI used to like this place for its atmosphere, its pleasant albeit not exceptionally good food, its wide selection of beers, including some of my Belgian favourites, and its location near Asoke.
Unfortunately, Craft 23 has long since started selling cigars and offering special "Whisgars" packages: promotions based on a combination of whiskey and cigar, which have proven extremely effective in attracting Bangkok's 'very best crowd'.
Cigar lounges usually take great care to separate cigar smokers from diners and non-smoking patrons. Not Craft 23. Craft 23 is proud to allow its customers to smoke while sipping their whiskey among diners, actually right in the midst of them, and starting from the very early opening hours.
Therefore, if enjoying dinner enveloped in thick cigar smoke is your thing, then I highly recommend this place. You will definitely get what you expect and deserve. But if you don't like to dine while holding your breath, to avoid the miasmas emitted by overweight octogenarians, trying to impress the scarce local girls who turn up in Craft 23, by sipping supposedly rare scotch whiskeys and by smoking oversized cigars right under your nose, then there are thousands of alternatives in Bangkok that better suit your tastes. I hope this review helps you make...
Read more5 of us visited craft and found the place to be very lively, infact the most lively on that street. It has an open sitting area and the ambience is really amazing with music to groove but not loud enough to not be able to talk.
Coming to food and drinks they have an amazing collection of on tap beers which are slightly e pensive but we were really tired so I guess 1each was enough for us. We ordered a Czech pilsner which was decent and also for food we ordered pastrami sandwich which was the highlight and then nachos to snack with the beers the quantity was good enough. Along with that we ordered something called Tom Yun Isaan - crab with papaya which was very smelly was not able to have that , we have had crab back in India but there the crab had too much of raw fish smell, and We ordered veg burrito as one of us was vegeterian. The ambience is really good to have beer and snacks and the food is I would say decent but is a little overpriced I would say - It costed us 3400Bhat which is expensive for 4 mugs of beer + 1 margherita + 4 dishes, this was the first day in Bangkok so not aware of the other place...
