Hotel room Clean, great. Comfortable bed and pillow. I love everything about it. There is a gym at level 5. There is no noise at night. The reason is simply because this hotel is not located near the main road. The water heater was good. Everything here was top-notch.

Service Good service and hospitality. Someone greets and opens the door for you at times. They keep your luggage, too, upon check-out.

Entertainment and train The nearest 7E is 5 or 6 minutes away. Only 5 to 6 minutes walk to Soi Cowboy, Crazy House, Interchange 21 (that brings to Asok BTS and MRT Sukhumvit). It is near the MRT and BTS. There are Western cafes and bars around. Don't worry about food. At night, people sell fried chicken and roti. The clubs at Soi Cowboy are open till morning. In the morning, hop by local Thai food. Sweet drinks or tea/coffee are everywhere in cafes as well as Interchange 21.

Walking with a luggage bag is not convenient, but doable. There is Terminal 21 opposite the hotel. You need about a 10-minute walk to reach there by crossing the road or walking on the train bridge.

There are plenty of massage parlours here. There are many of them across the road as well. Find a good one for you. 350b per hour of foot massage. Want to do your nails? It's available at Welcome Massage and Interchange 21.

Lobby and entrance of the hotel looks decent. Tucked away in a corner away from the busy streets. Family Mart is just outside the hotel, with a nice cosy bar downstairs. The hotel is old, but the management has done a good job in maintaining it. Fittings, doors, even the toilets are old, they are still clean enough to not show signs of mould. Rooms are recently remodeled with laminate flooring which gives it a newer feel. They are using bonnell spring mattresses, can feel some parts of the bed where springs are are broken/damaged. Guest friendly, they do call your room to check if you are expecting a visitor. the door access is still a physical lock and key... the size of the key chain might be an issue to some, but most people would just leave the keys at the reception before heading out. The food found in the hotel is surprisingly good, even for 24 hour room service dining! (ordered 2.4k THB worth of food with friends) Understand they are priced more to budget conscious travellers, so don't expect to see dental kits in the toilet. complimentary water was always topped up regardless if you had finished the 2 bottles. In room slippers provided were questionable... they aren't the disposable type.. and dont look clean. I had a wonderful stay at the Tai-Pan on Feb 17-19. This is my third visit to Thailand and my first time at your property. Your staff was amazing. I arrived early on the 17th and your agent was able to get me checked into my room at that time. The room was great, I cannot find anything about the room that needed attention. Please compliment your housekeeping department on the cleanliness, it was 5 star! One thing that I appreciated a lot was the large TV, 55 or 60 inch I believe. The channel line up was very good and I really appreciated the ability to connect to my devices to Youtube and other apps on the TV. I could go on and on about the room but suffice to say you exceeded my expectations. I didn't get a chance to use the restaurant or bar, but feel confident that is top tier also.
