Ignoring the price, then this is a mediocre Cantonese restaurant. But if you add the pricing into the equation, I assure you that this place is an absolute NO!
I’m from Guangzhou, I was raise up by “Cantonese” cuisine. Never in my life could have expected that a single pigeon can cost me 750 baht. In Guangzhou even in the White Swan Hotel, a pigeon cost 148 yuan nowadays which is about 695 Thai baht. The price here is totally insane.
Yee Mee was 300 baht. I have to say there was no oil aroma in the noodles, while the chewing touch was Ok. So again, it was a mediocre dish but extremely overpriced.
As for Mei Cai Kou Rou (Braise Pork with Salted Brassica), everybody knew it was pre-made, so the taste was up to standards but irrelevant. But 350 baht? That’s ridiculous.
If you didn’t care for the money, then the place is alright- they serve normal food with passable quality.
I didn’t try their chicken or steam fish though, I’ve learned that there’s only disappointment in Thailand if you ordered these two.
If you want to try the delicious flavors of Hong Kong, Roselamoon is the place to go. This restaurant might not be fancy, but they make some of the best Cantonese food in Bangkok. Cantonese cuisine is known for its fresh ingredients and simple but tasty cooking styles.
Here's how I'd rate my experience:
Food Taste: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5
The portions here are big, so you definitely won't leave hungry! The prices are also fair, making this a great choice if you're looking for delicious food without spending too much money. I highly recommend the steamed chicken – it's cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. The steamed fish with soy sauce is another winner, with a light, flavorful sauce.
The staff at Roselamoon are friendly and always ready to help you choose a dish. Even though the restaurant itself is quite simple, the food is so good that it makes up for it. If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese experience, Roselamoon is a little treasure waiting to...
Read moreWe feel like we got scammed. After reading good reviews about the restaurant, we decided to come here for lunch but ended up getting extremely frustrated. The staff could barely speak English. A lot of items on the menu had English mistakes and made it harder to understand. We order pork in sweet and sour sauce which we thought they just put ketchup in it. Steamed fish in black bean sauce and their house soup were tasteless. For three dishes we paid 1,300 Baht which was not worth the value at all. This is the first time I have ever put a one-star review and also the first time I encountered such a bad restaurant in Bangkok after living here for three years. Anyone that gave them a five-star review should really reconsider taking a...
