For the price, it is not worth it. I rarely give bad reviews, but honestly I left this place feeling as if I’d just ingested a bunch of sugar and oil. It could be just what we ordered. We had the cashew and chicken... it was like the cashew nuts were candied it was so sweet. Nothing else but chicken and cashew nuts. The green curry was thin and plain. It was not a good complex Thai curry. It had almost no spice to it. It was incredibly oily. We ordered a fried morning glory dish with a spicer sauce that was supposed to have lemon grass and a few other things. The morning glory was greasy as well. The sauce was good to start, but it was also so sweet. Oily and sugary was our experience. It is run by Thai’s, but the food was bland. Those three dishes with some rice and some soft drinks came to 950 baht. That’s not overpriced for a nicer place, but the cooking does not match how it looks. On that note, it looks beautiful from outside, the scenery is for when you walk in - not for where you actually eat. It felt banquet-like. It wasn’t an awful experience. We ate the food. It wasn’t until about 10 minutes later that we both were like - I feel gross. Ha. And then add the price... that puts us at 2 stars. If I were in a generous mood, I’d pop it up to 3, but I still feel gross an hour later... so two stars it is. All I can think is that perhaps they think this is what tourists want when they get Thai food. ...
Read moreOUTSTANDING “Old School” Thai restaurant with all the crowd favorites. We asked for a Pomelo Salad, Sun Died Pork, Prak Bung Moo Grob (Morning Glory with crispy pork) and fish cakes. They weren’t sure they could make the Prak Bung - they consulted the cooks and came back with a yes! The food was excellent. It is served by these lovely older Thai women that have probably made and served these classic Thai dishes 1000 times. I have lived here 8 years and this was one of the best “Thai” (where they ONLY serve Thai food) restaurants and meals I have had. Four superb dishes, three Nahm Sodas - 1300 baht. Like I said at the beginning, it was...
Read moreThis traditional Thai restaurant, operating since 1977, is a hidden gem with little presence on social media. The courtyard is home to a towering tree, creating a serene atmosphere that attracts many stray cats, giving the place a blessed and peaceful vibe.
The food is naturally delicious, especially the shrimp cakes, which are incredibly fresh and flavorful—a must-order! I’m eager to try more dishes from their menu. The bill came to less than 900 THB, making it an absolute king of...
