It was a Tuesday night. It was late and we were on the verge of hangry. I was going to order from one of my usual places when H, complete with a glimmer in his eye, asked āPizza?ā. Um yeah!!
The problem was we had reached that tight window before restaurants stopped accepting Foodpanda orders. I quickly emptied my cart and the search was on. Oh the pressure of finding the perfect pizzaā¦one just like homeā¦like NYC. H was on his phone and I was on mineā¦frantically scrolling through the options until he found a Neapolitan style place which was well reviewed and highly ranked. I almost caved but I told him āNo, Iām going to hold out. Save yourself and order before the hAnger kicks in. I will continue my valiant search as the Foodpanda timer ticks on.ā
Then, there it was, Pizza Mania. I had never ordered from here and wondered how I had missed it. They had a combo with a straight up cheese pizza, garlic knots, ranch dressing (!!) and a brownie. Whaaa?? Any one who comes up with that combination is obviously a connoisseur of all things good and knows whatās up. This is itā¦no time to wasteā¦ADD TO CARTā¦CONFIRM PAYMENTā¦CONTACTLESS DELIVERY.
We picked up our orders from the lobby and avoided the watchful eye of the building staff. Yes, we admit it, we ordered from 2 different pizza places. No judgement please. Actually, no one cared and we scurried up to our place.
You guys, Pizza Mania was everything I wished for and more. The pizza crust was thinner than home but crispy yet foldable and you better believe I dipped it in the ranch dressing, which had the coveted balance of herbs, pepper and a touch of sour (it was less creamy and thinner than Iām used to but the flavors were spot on). The cheese was grated just like home (versus being one big blob) and melted to perfection with the right touch of saltiness. There was just enough tomato sauce to keep the pizza from being dry without crossing over into soggy territory. I could eat my folded slice intact without it drooping and dripping all over the place. These things matter as Iām a classy lady, you know.
Next up, garlic knots. This was the home run right here. They were still hot and fluffy, tossed in fresh garlic and parsley. The thin sheen of oil even glittered in the light just like it does under the heating lamp of NYC pizza joints. I had to share the experience with Hā¦it wasnāt right for me to be in food heaven alone and he loved it just as much as I did.
We closed it off with the brownie, which we obviously had with the vanilla ice cream we ordered. We couldnāt be happier.
Suffice to say that Pizza Mania was the clear winner over the Neapolitan place that H chose and I couldnāt help but be smug. Thank you Pizza Mania for not just giving me the bragging rights but for clearly doing something you love and being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreunfortunately I had a short hospital stay... one of my friends suggested that I tried Pizza mania for delivery. after looking at their website and realizing they had wood-fired pizza I decided to give them a try but was unsure they could deliver it to the hospital. I reached out to them on their Facebook page and the owner Russell got back to me immediately. not only would he make sure that my order was delivered to the hospital ,he informed me about a special they we're running which included a free cheese pizza and free delivery with my order. I had some confusion on how to order but Russell personally guided me through the process .personalized service like this is hard to find anywhere in the world let alone in some of the pizza restaurants in Bangkok.. I ordered the ham and mushroom,But my wife who was visiting wanted to try the spicy chicken.both were excellent but I'd have to say that the spicy chicken was my favorite. once I was released from the hospital I was so impressed with the pizza that I ordered again. once again Russell was prompt courteous and professional and took my order. he informed me they did not have the spicy chicken but that he would make a barbecue chicken with chili sauce.. That's become my new favorite. he also threw in some garlic knots.... it's the dough of the pizza with garlic and that is definitely worth a recommendation. for customer service, wood fired pizza, generous toppings, pizza mania is my now go to pizza restaurant in Bangkok. highly suggest you give them a try....I forgot to add both times I ordered a Greek salad. one of the better Greek salad offerings in town. Russell also suggested I try their pasta. there arabbiata spaghetti, of which you have a choice of pasta, was absolutely fantastic. better than some of the so-called better Italian restaurants in town... I'll try to add some recent pictures from last week's delivery. I keep ordering from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust ordered on the new website, it's still a bit buggy but have the build your own option. You can't pay in cash anymore, but now you can track where the delivery driver is. I do wish they still sent out an email up on order confirmation. ... Had another great pizza today, pro tip get the 18" they seem to be cooked better, plus you get more toppings. I really like their hot oil, wish they sell those in bigger bottles. Also maybe have a special pizza flavor of the month would be cool. Anyways seafood + Pineapples is still my favorite, I always order it on half the side š ... Always great, just wish they have some combo options on their website like they have on food panda. Kinda want to try some new pizza creations but why is it alot more expensive to build your own pizzaš¤. Today I decided to order a large Ceasars salad to go with my pizza, the salad is really big and looked good, but the problem is there is actually too much toppings on it! All the extra croutons, cheese, and bacon makes the salad more salty, dry, and harder to eat. I would rather have less topping and more lettuce, also the dressing was quite salty too...wishing there was a lighter version more like a ranch dressing to go on it. .... It's still my favorite pizza place in Bangkok, never disappoints! I always order the half/half option as it's better value and gives you two different flavors.
Decided to order something other than pizza today, so went for the meatball spaghetti, a salad and garlic knots plus some cookies. The spaghetti was actually pretty good, salad was decent as were the knots, but the choclolate chip cookies were pretty dissapointing, they were a bit dry and also stale.
Absolutely the best pizza in Bangkok, have ordered lots of times over the years and never a disappointment. My favorite is the Seafood + Pineapples. They also usually have some kind of promotion if you order from...
