When we ordered ice cream for my 6-year-old kid, who only had pizza earlier during the meal, it was delivered after 5-10 minutes. When we asked for a second serving for him, they did not serve it for 15 minutes. My irritated wife then asked them again to serve it. She could see from our table that the ice cream could have been served in 1-2 minutes as it was right next to our table. They finally served it. Then came our turn to order desserts. My wife ordered two pieces of gulab jamun and one ice cream. They served it.
When I ordered Malai Kulfi for myself, they denied it, saying dessert could be served only once, and I had already ordered ice cream for my kid and gulab jamun for my wife. This was shocking as I had double-checked with them earlier if we could order anything from the menu any number of times for the price we were paying!
I had gone there particularly for all the dessert options offered in the package, but I ended up having none, even after paying a significant amount, except for a spoon or two from my wife's bowl. I felt cheated and disrespected! The staff then showed us a promotional tent card on the table to justify that desserts were limited, whereas they had communicated an unlimited serving. I asked him to read it again, and he agreed but didn't correct his mistake or serve what I had ordered! I told him that we could actually order many non-dessert items since much of the 2 hours was still pending, but they had spoiled our entire experience first by delaying the service for my kid and then denying it completely to me!
We paid in full and left midway, highly disappointed!
They had our number saved from a prior call. Their owner later contacted us to apologize and asked us to forget the incident. I told him that we could forgive but not forget, as they had the chance to correct their mistake after realizing it but did not apologize or rectify it while we were there. In total, we paid approximately 1800 baht, which comes to around Rs. 4000/- INR - a significant amount for a couple and a kid, for which we could get unlimited buffet meals at 4 or 5 star hotels in India.
The served food was very good but of no use when one needs to leave the meal midway for such a disrespectful experience!
The owner told me on phone that they would change the system for better experience for their future customers based on this incidents and for that only giving one star or else they deserve no...
