Bamboo Spa — Local services in Khlong Tan Subdistrict

The place is nice but the service was not the best. We took the traditional Thai massage. Firstly, in the form they made me fill in, there was no place to describe if you have any kind of problem with your spine before massage session starts (I suffer from cervical artrosis and by that moment I felt quite good). The lady was nice too but she really destroyed my back ( I put in the form soft/moderate level), the massage was so strong that now I am again with an artrosis crisis and taking pills again. I am really mad with this place because of that. The second thing that I found very aggressive was the level of air conditioner, I was literally freezing as the very cold wind from the air con was just on my back causing muscles to be contracted. In general, for me the session was a torture and I hope you don't have the "luck" of having this lady ( I don't know her name) performing Thai massage in your body otherwise you will feel that someone wants to literally kill you. Ah I forgot this detail, and maybe I should have asked for a massagist change at that moment, she almost burned my feet during the feet washing they use to perform before the massage session. I came across this spa at the end of 2021 when I moved to Thailand. It was an amazing place. Brilliant well trained masseurs consisting of senior and junior staff with a wall full of diplomas to prove it. I chose a senior for her professional skills and it was well worth the extra money. I would have the same lady every time. I loved it so much my son bought me a year’s subscription for Christmas 2021. I savoured my monthly trips here for my 90 minute sessions for the past year. But something was very different when I went for my last session in Dec 2022. I wasn’t given any water after my session! The price had increased! And the certificates had been taken down! I went with my friend today and yet again the price has increased! And the massage was no better than all of the massage parlors all over Bangkok! I asked what had happened and it’s been taken over by another person! The staff have appeared to have left! The receptionist has changed again and still no water! Got to know about Bamboo Spa from an online article and wanted to check it out since they are pretty near where I stay. Service from the staff at the front desk was great as they speak fluent English and appreciate the small talks before I left the place. Unlike the usual chain massage parlour I go to in the past, this place offers a high bed where I can lie flat down with my head resting on the cut out headrest, feeling much more comfortable while massaging my back. There were some small talks from the masseur but due to language barrier we didn't engage much conversation, but she will occasionally asked if I felt too cold from the air con etc. And at the end of the session there was a bowl of mango dessert accompanied with a bottle of water and a cup of tea.
