Hair removal from full face and arms was done with the perfect combination of threading and waxing for impeccable results. It was efficient, painless, and very thorough. When I arrived, one of my heels was cracked and painful enough to make walking difficult. They performed a foot soak, foot waxing, foot mask, and callus removal, and when I left, my feet were smooth and the pain was gone! Staff and owner were so kind and helpful! I was over an hour late for my appointment because I got on the wrong bus on my way there, but they were gracious and welcoming and eagerly accommodated my request to expedite my services to help me get my day back on track. They had three staff members assisting me at the same time: one working on my feet, one doing hair removal, and the third helping out as needed. I had my one-year old daughter along with me and they all interacted with her very well. The staff members that I was in contact with spoke at least five different languages fluently: English, Thai, Burmese, Indian, and a Myanmar tribal language that I don't remember the name of. I speak Burmese, so I enjoyed chatting them up in that language and was also impressed with the excellence of their English. There were a couple times when what I requested wasn't the best, but instead of just doing their own thing without respecting my wishes or staying silent, they thoroughly explained the options and the pros and cons of each one in English. They also communicated clearly about the pricing, followed my instructions precisely, and gave me excellent skincare advice for at home without trying to sell me anything. When it came time for me to leave, it was raining, so they offered me local transportation free of charge. They really went above and beyond in every way. The location is not fancy, but it was comfortable and the people are...
Read moreIâm going to start by saying the staff is very nice. I went to have my eyebrows arched and they came out pretty well. A few days later, my daughter and I went back to get our hair done and wellâŚ..epic fail. We were so excited to be getting our hair done after having it in braids throughout our time in Thailand only to leave with my daughter traumatized to the point where she will not put any heat in her hair now. Iâd called ahead and asked for t they did black hair. Iâm understand our many different textures is a lot to managed for us let alone someone of a different race. I was told yes. Well, that canât be true. To take a blow dryer and not know to comb through hair to detangled it is the first thing that said, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT WERE DOING. My daughter has thick curly hair. They didnât completely dry it or detangled it yet had a flat iron and a rat tail comb trying to straighten her hair!!! It wasnât dry!!!!! It wasnât combed through!!!! So guess what IT COULDNâT BE STRAIGHTENED!!!!! They were frying my babyâs hair!!! I immediately intervened to detangled and straighten it myself. One of the young ladies watched my technique and proceeded to mimic it, but she kept passing the flat iron through her hair over and over. Never again will I pay to get my hair done on Thailand!!!! Weâll be sure to have braids the entire time of we ever return. I was very...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars, I would. The most important thing a salon needs to be is clean and professional. Neither of these things happened at Sai Meher Indian Beauty Salon. The ladies working at the salon were incompetent to say the least. As a client paying for a professional service, I was completely disgusted and outraged with the level of service. It was not only unhygienic but also dangerous. The staff used a sharp kitchen knife to apply the hot wax to my skin, a knife that might have been used on many other clients and couldâve possibly cut me. This is a health violation and serious cause for concern. The entire salon was unkept and unclean, definitely not an environment for waxing or any beauty treatments. The skill level of the staff was below entry level, as someone that knows how to wax and thread themselves it became apparent that I had to tell them how to do their job. At one point the staff members switched during the threading as they were struggling. After leaving completely dissatisfied I got home only to realize there were patches of hair they had missed, keep in mind three staff members were doing the waxing. This is completely disgraceful and appalling. Especially if youâre an expat, donât waste...
