Tom Yam Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

5/5: Delicious, cheap Thai food in a casual atmosphere.

For the meal, I got buttered potatoes and the Fried Chili and Basil Rice w/ Chicken. The potatoes were good, but could’ve used more salt. The rice dish, however, was top notch! Really flavorful, and a great portion size for the price (90B, if I remember correctly).

For dessert, I got chocolate cake with ice cream. Simple, but quite tasty. It’s hard to mess up this dish, so I won’t comment too much.

Prices here are great, almost a steal for the quality. Phi Phi is saturated with mediocre Western food at Western prices. If you’re like me and NOT a fan of that, get your butt over here.

The wifi in the restaurant was solid. If you’re a solo traveler like me, then order your food, turn on YouTube or Netflix, and watch a show with some delicious Thai food.

Pretty disappointed with this place; personally this is more a tourist trap than anything. We ordered a few dishes the Tom Yam and Tom Kha which the restaurant is named after you’d think would have something to deliver, the soups taste nothing like the actual soups the spices don’t fell the same and the ingredients look old and poor quality. The rice dishes are bland and the food is tasteless; unfortunately nothing other than the spring rolls and drink. Luckily prices are cheap and didn’t waste too much money at this place. Would never come back, I’d rather get a pizza off the streets...

This was our favorite restaurant on the island! The fried fish with garlic and pepper sauce, vegetable spring rolls, pork with garlic and pepper sauce, mussels, sautéed potatoes, and morning glory were awesome! The staff was super friendly and so kind! Our waiter even helped one of our friends peel her shrimp. We ate family style and really enjoyed that, so we could try everything.
