I had dinner at this charming establishment with a sophisticated atmosphere, their service is exceptional. I tried Massaman Curry with Tofu, along with an add-on of Spring Rolls. What stood out to me was the restaurant's impressive understanding and accommodation of vegan preferences.
They went the extra mile by clearly marking dishes that were inherently vegan with Ⓥ, which I found incredibly helpful. Furthermore, the staff was more than willing to modify any dish to make it vegan-friendly, which was greatly appreciated.
The Massaman Curry, in particular, was a delightful culinary experience. Its flavors were exquisite, and the tofu added a delightful texture to the dish. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and filled with exotic vegetables that added a burst of flavor.
Overall, my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and a cozy ambiance left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone whether they're...
Read moreWe tried Basil Bistro for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised by the food, which was decent and nicely presented.
But the whole experience turned negatively because of 2 conflicts that we saw between customer and the owner. We were not even the customer who had the conflict, but we felt so sorry for the other customers and it felt uncomfortable.
To the one customer the owner started saying that they should dress appropriate as they came in bikini. Perhaps the wrong place to open a restaurant then, as the whole island is wearing swimwear?
The other customer misunderstood something about the price and the owner just started saying that the customer is crazy.
Not the way to treat customers, and this is why I gave the 1 star, which I usually never do. As I read other reviews experiencing the same, I am surprised that it still has 4.6 stars. To the owner, treat your customers like family and you will receive...
Read moreRelatively professional service for the island, but also feels uptight with the staff all masked up. Menu looks large but consists mostly of pasta/noodles. The sauces are creative and delicious, but the chicken in each dish we ordered was dry/chewy. Their cocktails are exceptionally good. The spring rolls are also unique, with a very thick rice paper shell. The staff couldn't really describe what the sauce on the "red chicken" is made from, and I can't either haha but it was delicious. Our favorite dish, however, was the yellow curry spaghetti. Addictively good! Least favorite dish was the spaghetti with tomato sauce; the sauce was homemade and tasted fine but the dish didn't have nearly enough sauce. The Massaman was also ok but didn't really taste like any massaman I've ever had before. It tasted more like panang, or...
