Sunflower Beach Bar — Restaurant in Ko Phi Phi Don

Sunflower Bar is honestly the peaceful and soft experience you want when going to a paradise like Phi Phi.

Perfect for families and those who want to relax, this place really puts effort in creating a safe, calm environment when visiting an island with a lot of late night action.

They have board games, and a pool table all readily available for guests and soft music that can drift you away while watching the beautiful sea with an amazing view of the beach and sunset.

I particularly enjoyed the the bean bags and my partner enjoyed the hammocks and with still a bar at hand you can enjoy delicious frozen cocktails and just really... chill :)

I didn't have the pleasure of staying the night at their attached accommodation but I went every moment I could catch in-between boat and adventure trips and was always the best place to relax after a big trip or on the build up of a big evening.

I would love to keep this as my little secret but the people who own and work there deserve all the recognition in the world. Those visiting Phi Phi looking for the same calm experience I had should know about Sunflower Bar, the place I call, a little piece of heaven.

Great place if there is a group of you but skip if you are with a young family. I completely agree with all the comments below. The sunset views, the chilled vibe, the really funky and highly original interior are all great. The food’s pretty decent too. Our experience turned sour on our third visit though when this guy turned up absolutely plastered drunk, sat himself down at our table, started slobbering incessantly and just would not piss off and leave us alone. At first he claimed he was the owner which I though was BS until he mentioned his 11 year old daughter who was at school in Australia and realised he was being truthful. Her picture is hanging on the wall above the bar. Anyway, I was there with my wife and 7 year old girl who were both getting increasingly upset until in the end, we decided we’d had enough and left. The head waiter apologised profusely on our way out the door. It’s a real pity as it is one of the more interesting places...

This bar has an amazing vibe—great atmosphere, unique decor, and just a really fun place to be. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The only unexpected part was that our waiter didn’t speak any English at all and couldn’t understand even when we pointed at things on the menu or asked for the bill.
