Stones Bar — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Worst place we've stayed on our three month trip so far. Absolute rip off 400B per night for a rock hard bed and non-stop loud music in the room. It's nice to party but also great to able to sleep when you need to... so this place wasn't ideal really! The entire room was shaking and my friend found a bedbug on the first night and we moved to another hostel straight away with no refund for the second night we had booked and didn't use. The staff do speak some English but look completely miserable and aren't very helpful. The toilets also block very easily and cleanliness is exceedingly poor. Sadly the sewage from the island also spills onto the beach where this hostel is located, giving it poor aesthetics and a terrible smell. The pictures online are very deceiving to say the least. In the interest of writing a balanced review there were two positives: air con and wifi. Whilst I realise that accommodation in Koh Phi Phi is generally overpriced there are much better options for 400B p/n and my advice would be...

Apache is the worst place on Phi Phi. DO NOT GO THERE FOR HOOKAH/sisha. They give old and used tips and when asked for a new sealed one they take one of another one and claim it's a new one. Took over 30 mins to get our hookah, 15 minutes to get a "new" tip which was clearly used, not sealed in plastic, or I saw the guy take it off another hookah, walk around and then goes to tell me it's new. My wife and I are disgusted and walked away. As we walked away the owner starts yelling obscenities at us along with the waiter. They started threatening us also. I thought customers were suppose to be respected not insulted. AS an American tourist, we both felt scared and insulted. We will notify the authorities about them and the people who spoke at us in such a derogatory way as we took...

We were partying happily at their hostel bar. My friend was in the way of the skipping rope. A STAFF MEMBER pushed him away aggressively. They then AGGRESSED FURTHER and our friends genuinely went in the middle of the argument to mutually stop it. we genuinely GOT PUNCHED BY THE STAFF. I started to push my friends away to Maturely leave the fight. I personally got PUNCHED AGAIN meanwhile. My FRIEND is now WITH the PARAMEDICS as he has a large CUT ON HIS EYE from being PUNCHED by the STAFF of this HOSTEL. do not recommend as a hostel at all amd the staff are AGGRESSIVE, VIOLENT and UNREASONABLE.

I still have a headache from being punched twice from splitting up the fight neutrally...
