Nestled in Koh Samet, this family-run restaurant is a hidden gem for those craving authentic Thai cuisine. From the succulent grilled chicken thighs to the fragrant spicy chicken coconut soup, every dish bursts with flavor. We couldn't resist ordering multiple portions (4!) of the grilled chicken—it was that good!

The ambiance adds to the charm with simple, plastic furniture, a lively atmosphere with Thai dramas playing loudly on the TV, and mosquito incense being burned from old beer bottles.

While the owners may not speak English, they make up for it with warm hospitality and an English-translated menu.

Best laarb and pad talay on Koh Samet.

The laarb was so herbaceous, and the pad talay was fresh and cooked to perfection with that distinctive Issan gravy. We ordered other food as well, all of it delicious.

Came here for Issan food from the good reviews. Authentic Issan down to the mosquito coils burning under the tables. Highly recommend!

It is a roadside Thai place, so you are sitting in basically a shack with a dirt floor, but that's why you came to Thailand, right? 2 people in our group lived many years in Thailand, and this place made them nostalgic.
