This place is a complete scam. We ordered two lobsters at 1,300 THB each (which is considered quite expensive for Thailand prices), expecting fresh seafood, but what we got was old, dry, frozen lobster meat stuffed into empty lobster shells. The waitress “showed” us two fresh lobsters beforehand in a bowl, but it’s clear those were just for show. What came out was precut, rubbery, and suspiciously quick, making it obvious the food is premade and not fresh at all.

To make matters worse, the lobster tasted dry, old, and frozen, and they tried to hide it under a lot of sauce and unnecessary vegetables to cover up the poor quality. It’s clear they are cutting corners and deceiving customers.

In Spain, we can get a fresh lobster for the same price—real, high-quality seafood. What they serve here is a blatant rip-off.

After checking reviews on Google Maps and Dianping, it’s obvious this is a repeated scam targeting tourists. They mislead diners with overpriced, low-quality food and false promises of freshness.

Dieses einfache und dennoch besondere Restaurant lebt. Sehr viele Thailänder waren vor Ort und haben gegessen, geplaudert und die Zeit angenehm verbracht. Wir waren zu 4t vor Ort und haben auch einen tollen Aufenthalt gehabt. Das Essen war wirklich lecker. Authentisch und sogar günstig. Die Bedienungen waren alle nett und ich bin dankbar für diesen Besuch. Das Ambiente ist aber wirklich funktional gehalten. Die Schwingungen bei einem selbst, sind aber mehr als das Restaurant zeigt.

Mein Fazit: Ein einfaches, jedoch tolles, Restaurant welches einen Besuch wert ist.

With Samui Restaurant

This simple yet special restaurant comes alive. Many Thais were present, eating, chatting, and enjoying their time. We were there as a group of four and had a great experience. The food was truly delicious, authentic, and surprisingly affordable. The staff were all friendly, and I'm grateful for this visit. However, the ambiance is quite functional. The vibes within oneself, though, are more than what the restaurant displays.

My conclusion: A simple yet wonderful restaurant worth a visit.

Came here when we visited Koh Samui in 2021, ended up eating here 2 days in a row. Came again in 2024, doing the same thing. They have such diverse menu yet all the dishes was great (except fried calamari which was overcooked). Price is fair considering the area, freshness of seafood & taste. No Frill authentic Thai food. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Love the staffs, they are so friendly and kind (even accompanying other patron's kid while they're eating). Helpful with choosing the food even with limited english.
