A Hidden Gem That Knows How to Move a Crowd—and Cook a Duck
I’m not someone who typically queues for food. In fact, I go out of my way to avoid lines whenever possible. But walking up to this spot, even from 50 meters away, you can tell it’s the place everyone’s heading toward. The line is long—no denying that—but the team runs it with impressive speed and precision. You’re seated quickly, and the whole operation feels like a well-oiled machine. These folks clearly know what they’re doing.
Once inside, you’re told to grab your own drink from the massive fridges stocked like a 7-Eleven: water, beer, soft drinks—plenty of options, and it keeps things flowing.
Now, onto the real reason you’re here: the food. We ordered the pad Thai with roasted duck and the roasted duck with rice. Honestly, either dish is a win. The real magic lies in how they handle the duck. It’s a tricky protein—done wrong, it turns dry and stringy. But here? It’s tender, rich, and melts in your mouth. The flavor is deep, the texture spot-on, and it’s clear the kitchen knows exactly how to coax the best out of every bite.
And the kicker? For everything you get—speed, flavor, efficiency—it’s incredibly affordable. This place is a rare find: fast-paced, delicious, and absolutely worth...
Read moreHeard so much hype about the place Waited and queued, Some back ally oldschool Thai restaurant with bad attitude staff normally calls for some serious flavours
But that’s what the issue was 3 people with 3 different things who love all foods was left confused? It lacked flavour and was overpowered with like Lemon grass and I think coriander
Not to mention the bad attitude of the staff but when we left the food as it was because we didn’t enjoy it after a couple of bites, we was greeted with “why didn’t we eat it” and then told to wait while another lady asked the same question? All we tried to do was politely leave and pay but we was met with why don’t we like it so I told them straight up the food is not nice.
Again I feel bad for saying it was not nice because it might have been for everyone else but this place is more of a social media hype than actual nice food. (Personal opinion) And again if everyone loves it then great but when your served with bad attitude and then confronted because you didn’t like something it’s just not a...
Read moreSecond time return to this place and I brought my partner to introduce this delicious authentic roasted duck. Same as the first time, we were so enjoyed the delicious flavors and tender meat. The duck had the perfect skin and succulent meat that just melted in my mouth. The portion size was generous and the price was very reasonable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual and pretty nice, with friendly staff who provided excellent service. You can self service with the drinks. I would highly recommend trying the roasted duck (either with egg noodle or thick noodle). I will definitely be returning here whenever im in Koh Tao. For those who one time visitor to Koh Tao, you should not miss this place as you will not find else where in Bangkok for this taste and price. We also tried the roasted pork but it was good nor nothing too special...
