We were slightly sceptical about eating here after some previous reviews, but after seeing it is the sister restaurant of a couple of our other favourite places on Koh Tao, we decided to give it a go. It does state clearly that you order and pay at the till on the front of the menu, which we have no problem with as that’s fairly standard. However, the staff working there didn’t really engage much with us at all which kind of brought the atmosphere down. Food itself unfortunately took quite a while to come, my omelette took nearly half an hour and my partners burger a further ten minutes. That being said, I’d say it was absolutely worth the wait. There was good flavour, the brioche toast was delicious, the omelette was cooked perfectly. I’d probably call in again if I was hungry, but I’d lower my expectations next time. I understand this cafe is more of a casual eating experience.

Visited here twice. Excellent coffee and food for a good price (50 Baht for an Americano, 100 Baht for a BLT). Staff was not that friendly; yelling from the counter to me that I have to order at the counter (I sat down and was waiting to be served, assuming that's how it worked here). Also one staff member making waving gestures to me and another customer while saying "move, move", indicating we were in his way (place is quite small). But I think that's just a Thai thing. Good views on the beach. Good selection of breakfast and sandwiches. Having to place your order at the counter is kind of challenging because you could loose your seat to other customer while waiting to order. Free WiFi. I would give five stars if they would improve hospitality (a smile and some friendlyness).

First two stars I have to give in over 4 weeks… You have to stand up, come to the front for order and pay directly, meanwhile 4 of the staff beside the cashier are standing and glue smelling and could get the order but ok… Food is extremely simple and without any spices. Just plain Omlette on a Toast without an underground like one salat leaf or a creme or something else… The sandwich as seen in many pictures here is also very plain and tastes only a little thanks to the „souce“ that the chicken is marinated with … Poached egg overcooked so no more need to say about it. Very overpriced for this in my opinion… Location ist nice and the furniture is also comfy. I’m sore but I can’t recommend it.

Title: Serious allergen handling issues; not safe for those with allergies

I ordered a tuna salad with a clear allergy note: no onions. I received a tuna onion salad and immediately informed the server. They removed the onions on top, but there were onions buried in the bottom of the bowl that couldn’t be removed. The server said they’d make a new one, which I appreciated—until what happened next.

Instead of preparing a fresh plate, they removed the onions and then washed the salad and tuna with water, followed by oil. The bowl ended up full of water, which was not only unappetizing but also raised serious concerns about cross-contamination and proper allergen handling.

I left disappointed and frustrated. For anyone with food allergies, I would advise caution and to consider choosing a different restaurant. I do not...
