STUFFED North China Taste — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I came to STUFfED with innocence and a clear mind full of hope…after all, dumplings are among the Crown Jewels of the sandwich category. Let’s talk about the spread: immaculate, tastefully plated, lovingly prepared, full of the finest cuts of meat Koh Tao has to offer. Since eating here I can confidently say I am a new man, birthed once again from mother Mala and papa pork. I have come back everyday to STUFFED, I consider it a pilgrimage towards connecting with the earth, water, and gods that keep the planets in order. All other food (outside of Orinoco tacos in Mexico City) taste like ash and I am unable to sustain metabolism and homeostasis without these dumps. In a way, I would like to go back to simpler times when I could roll up to KFC and leave with a smile and a full belly, alas it is a one way street out of the Garden of Eden. But perhaps, we are always meant to leave, and arrive to the knowledge of new lands…full of dumplings, full of love, full of mala. Blessings, Salaam, I hope you can enjoy what STUFFED has to...

I was at Vegetabowl (one of my fav Clean food restaurant in Koh Tao) and saw this Chinese restaurant nextby, with and Chinese owners; at first only this fact made me want to try the food, cos I love Chinese food and it seems to be an authentic one. We came back another day and ordered pork dumplings, mala noodle and spicy veggies. They were all so good that we ordered more dumplings and beef slices later! Really recommended for all the menu we got! Would love to come back for more dishes! And the guy who took the order gave good recommendation about the food, just ask him!

*My friend said this place is his most fav restaurant in Koh Tao. * I wish they have hot tea as the drinks we can order tho, would be awesome!

Best dumplings on the island! My favorite are the vegan dumplings which are full of delicious minced veggies (the mushrooms are especially tasty) and come with a nice sauce. We also had the sweet and sour dumpling soup which has a nice zesty flavor and comes steaming hot. The cold noodles are a repeat favorite of ours, the peanut sauce is so good! The owner showed us now to scoop out the last of the peanut sauce with some of the cold noodles and told us the story of learning this technique from his grandmother who would admonish “don’t wast my paste!” The beef noodle soup was also excellent!

The owners are also boulders and enjoy climbing so they had some great recommendations for...
