The Factory Cafe — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

This place was amazing, it made me feel home, but also inspired to be creative in some way. The whole place is constantly full, every single time a table opened up, it got occupied again almost instantly. I told my husband that the place just has a very positive vibe, so relaxing and fun to be at. At this point we didn't even had our food served yet and I was already in love with The Factory Cafe and told my husband to have brunch here every single day of our stay at Koh Tao. He told me to wait with hyping myself up until we got our food and I said that the food would be amazing as well. I just had that feeling and I was right. The food blew us away. It was so comforting and delicious. Fresh ingredients with amazing taste and everything was perfectly prepared. We both had the Koh Tao Sunrise smoothie with different fruits and ginger and sooooo delicious as well. I had the avo toast with two poached eggs, he had the vegan falafel wrap and we also ordered the sticky chocolate chip pancakes to try. The best place for delicious vegetarian food and coffee, also caters for the vegan souls. Absolutely everything is home made - from the hummus, tzaziki, peanut butter, to the wraps, muesli and breads. The gorgeous French owner, Alice, insists on sourcing ingredients locally and her dishes are beautifully presented, fresh and seriously yummy!

I ended up eating there every lunch during my stay and have tried the deliciously filling shakshuka, beautifully coloured smoothie bowl as well as the seriously tasty wrap. I took a bag of the homemade muesli home and it's really moorish!! I'm just disappointed I didn't get the chance to try out her famous potato cake. I'll save it for the next time!

Located conveniently near the entrance of Sairee beach, with a stylish and cosy industrial decor, dressed abundantly with green foliage, the cafe is clean and very well presented. There is a good and speedy internet connection and the air conditioned interior is a nice break from the heat of the island.
