Tukta Vegan/Vegetarian Thai food — Restaurant in Ko Tao

So many vegan options! The best (#1) Som tam I have had actoss Thailand. *Mango or papaya options!

Stopped by for lunch, had a hard time choosing amongst so many vegan options (nice when this happens!).

Mom and Pop type of restaurant. But vegan!!

Ordered the vegan mango salad and the vegan vegetable curry fried rice (packed with veggies and enoki mushrooms).

This was the best mango salad I have ever had...super spicy! Had to eat with the fried rice to cool down the heat! Talk about flavor explosion!! 🔥😋

Will definitely return again and again.

Update: returned again Had the vegan pad see ew and the mango salad, complete with a pineapple and banana smoothie (230 baht total). Food is delicious, flavors are full and delightful. Mango salad was a 1/5 on Thai the hotness scale (🔥🔥🔥😭).

I like spicy food but I had to eat this salad mixed with the main dish, to keep my taste buds from falling off.

2nd update- brought an avocado with me this time, added it to yhe vegan paoaya salad. Along with some dried yellow raisins. With rice, a complete and super healthy meal! Delicious 😋

Back again for Tukta's delicious vegan som tam. It is hard to find a true papaya salad with heat 🔥 mixed with lots of fresh lime juice . This one delivers every time. Highly recommend 👍 *I added an 🥑🥑🥑

Today I went there for lunch, tried to order one dish and the lady told me today they don't have it, so I ordered the tofu one and she said tofu is finished , eventually I ordered black pepper chicken, and when the food came it was just rice and fried chicken (soy protein) I went to her and asked if she could give me some veggie at all even just slices of cucumber, just as the picture on the menu, but she told me since the boat didn't come for few days due to bad weather, so she ran out all the veggies, I thanked her and just went back to my seat to eat.

One minute later she came to give me a cup and with a poker face loudly repeat to me again " the boat is not coming so I don't have anything, do you understand? " I simply replied "yes, I understand, thank you"

I mean yes it's legit, but maybe give customers a heads up before taking our order? Also since I arrived until I left the lady didn't show any nice attitude at all, the whole time I kept saying thank you many times, and she was with a poker face all the time, even when I paid she didn't say anything ( also no veggies but still charge the same price ) (And also I saw a vegetable/fruit stall still with lots of produce, meaning that she could probably manage to still get some veggies?)

Too bad I really don't want to leave a bad review for the only vegan restaurant in Kho Tao, but it really was one of the worst dining...

Veggie and vegan original Thai street food. So fresh, delicious and made with love from the nicest lady. Whenever you drive by, just take a break for a fried rice, noodles with vegetables or another authentic dish. Everyone has it's own special ingredients, spices and aroma.

This experience really made my day. I am so happy we found this place and just gave it a try🤗 We will definitely come back a few more times as long as we are staying on Ko Tao.
