Good place for western food on Koh Tao island with huge choice of food. A quick message for the owner: PLEASE HEAT UP THE BAKERY PRODUCT like croissant and pain au chocolat before serving them. I explain myself at the end of this review. The french market is not really a market but it gathers multiple restaurants in one menu and shared seats. They serve cold cuts/cheese, tapas, pizza, pastries, breads, cakes/tarts, wines and other things like main dishes. The prices are a bit high but these are mostly imported product on a faraway island. We ordered cold cuts and cheese with a glass of wine (wine of the day), a pizza parma and a pain au chocolat. The mixed platter was great and generous, the wine of the day tasted good and was quite cheap too! When it comes to the pizza, the parma ham was nice but the rest was lacking flavor. It was a great pizza, but not matching quality of the mixed platter for that price. The pain au chocolat looked very good before I give it a try… it was too soft already when they served it to me and a bit chewy. This is a common issue with pastries that stayed on the shelf too long in a humid environment. Now I know we are on an island during low season so products are not selling as fast as they should, BUT it is easy to fix this by just giving the pastries a quick grill adventure in an oven (could be a small electric oven or even the pizza oven that you have!). It doesn’t cost anything and it completely improves the texture and taste. Other shops on the island that are buying your products are doing this and it is perfect.
Conclusion: This is a nice place to have great food and wine. Perfect for a friend or family meeting too. The menu will...

The courtyard seating is the highlight, adding a relaxed yet refined charm to the experience. Sipping on a velvety café au lait in the morning or enjoying a bottle of Bordeaux under fairy lights in the evening feels even more magical with the island breeze and lush surroundings. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect pastry, dish, or wine pairing.
As for the food, every bite is a masterpiece. The croissants are impossibly flaky, the quiches rich and comforting, and the desserts—pure indulgence. Pair it all with a handpicked wine from their extensive cellar, and you have an experience that feels straight out of Paris, but with the added magic of Koh Tao’s tropical charm. An...

The steak was unforgettable, juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. One of the best I’ve had anywhere, not just on the island.
The pizza is just high-quality!!! The toppings are great with a bunch of options and combinations that surprises us in a good way! It’s rich, flavorful and incredibly well balanced. You can tell they care about the ingredients and know what they’re doing.
The vibe of the place is great too. Cozy and classy without being pretentious and just the right atmosphere whether you’re coming for a date night or a solid meal after a long beach day.
And the staff? Incredible. Genuinely kind, attentive and welcoming. They treat you like a friend, not just another customer. The service is smooth, fast and full of positive energy.
