The music is great, and the entertainment by the musicians, is second to none. What a great place, to be, and to spend the night with family and friends, amongst foreigners and Thais alike. Celebrating my wife's 50th birthday I'm Krabi, AoNang, Thailand.
So sad that the older waitress lady decided not to allow us to order any further drinks.
She was adamant after already moving us to another table without our consent, to after all the moving around, still to insist on placing other people (which were completely unfamiliar to us, and with COVID-19 around) at our table, and directly in front of the stage. The table Infront of the stage, that we so patiently had waited for. She just moved us. And then the following happened.
It was almost as of she had done the above with the full purpose of creating dissatisfaction, and disharmony, amongst the patrons while we were all enjoying ourselves at this amazing venue, and having great fun.l for a 50th birthday experience.
It became so distasteful that she refused to give us any drinks, and she told all the other waiters that we're serving us, that they may not serve us, and that they don't get to approach us for any further drinks.
With this letter I'm imploring of the owner, and management of Boogie Bar, or the Krabi AoNang Business Forum, and Royal Thai Government, to please take control of their tourism basics, the businesses, and their approach to foreigners. The foreigners that so eagerly spend their hard earned money in Thailand, and to train the front-end staff and waiters/waitresses correctly.
Thailand wants and needs tourism, as this industry generates favourable income for the country, and it's people.
It is absolutely vital for visitors to Boogie Bar (and other bars and dinner venues around Krabi) to enjoy their time, and to experience many good memeories of what all these cities and venues have to offer.
Employees should take care of their approach to visitors of Boogie Bar, and not create an atmosphere that contributes negatively to the overall experience and atmoshpere.
To be blunt, please be very careful not to upset the older waitress, as you'll be left in the desert..... with no drinks, food, or snacks. And yes, the owner will have no solution to your problems, as he's not present to see and hear what these waiters/waitresses do, and how they deal with good customers, and ultimately affect his business.
Furthermore, the world has become a global community, and we have to learn to understand each other, instead of displaying behaviour that's unacceptable and that has little synergy with the rest of the Thai people.
Your waitress to be aware of.... photos attached. Hopefully the business owner changes his staff and trains them correctly in future. Sorry sir, but this is the only manner in which to keep you...
Read moreI TOTALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS BAR TO ANYONE!!! I wouldn’t recommend this bar to anyone. The band playing was amazing but the Staff is very bad.
I Was passing by with my friend and we stoped outside of the bar enjoying the music and try to see if it was worth it coming inside since we were already tired and heading to the hostel. Some guys who were inside saw us dancing and picked us to go and dance with their group but the Staff came and said we needed to order drinks, but it was almost closing time so we went outside again. Later another man picked my friend by the arm and took her dancing inside but they didnt make it because the woman put herself between them with the menu. She then proceeded to shout like a crazy woman for them to go. Already outside the bar she continued to shout in our face and speaking in Thai with her friends looking at us up and down! We said we didnt like their attitude and while we were going away, the woman ran and pushed my friends hair from the back, to the ground. Of course I came to her defense and all of the sudden there were more than 5 staff woman from the bar hitting us. When people finally separate us, she also threw a cup to my face, and you can see in the pictures a piece from it in my hair. We went to the police to press charges against the bar, but magically none of the cameras were turned on and nobody see anything, how convenient !! She later appeared in the police station while we were there, with a huge amount of blush in her face to pretend she had anything and said we were 2 against 1, which is a total lie, and easy to prove it since I had my clothe ripped and huge scars on my face and she had nothing. I was checking the reviews from the bar just now and realized that there were a lot of similar stories from other tourists, so I believe this is a common practice from the staff of this bar, which is totally different from what we are used to with Thai people, who are usually so sweet and nice. I’m still in complete shock from the situation, because we were having such a chill night and then all of the sudden there is a crazy woman jumping on my friend to hit her… on the photos you can also see her pointing the middle finger to us (although is blury because I was shaking). Completly unacceptable behavior, and I hope they shut down this place. There is much better bars in Krabi were you won’t face the risk of being...
Read moreAvoid. Came here because the music sounded good. Ordered a vodka and coke for my first drink then a long Island for my second. I took a sip of the long Island while still having a small bit of coke and vodka left. It tasted off, but I thought it might be the straw so I took the straw out and had another sip. Then the waitress tried to take the end of my first drink away before I finished and stood beside the table for a few seconds while I was drinking it. Eventually, I poured the remaining vodka and coke into my long Island (both are in a long Island so it wouldn't make a difference).
The taste of the cocktail was still awful (like soap) and even my husband thought so. We asked the waiter if I could have a fresh one and he pretended not to hear us, so we asked another waiter. He said no, but he could put 'something in it' to change the taste?? I said no, he could just take it back I wasn't drinking it and all of a sudden the waitress who tried to take my vodka and coke whispers in his ear saying I mixed two drinks. Obviously I tried explaining it was just the tail end of a vodka and coke and anyone who knows bartending would know that wouldn't change the taste of my cocktail. It tasted awful after the first sip.
Eventually, we went to pay and my husband refused to pay for the cocktail explaining it had a very strange taste and about 4 waiters went over to him at the bar and argued. The woman who made the cocktails ended up saying we wouldn't have to pay for it. Wouldnt go back if you paid me.
Also, reading other reviews it seems the band play the same set night after night yet you can tip them to play a request... Both ours and other customers requests weren't played in the two hours we were there. So that's...
