Directly overlooking the main street, but a bit farther away from the hustling beach and tourist scene you will find The Curry House. Somewhat unique for a town lined with restaurants all offering very much the same food and environment. Menu is geared toward Thai and Indian specialty but Western cusine is there too if you need a change from the local. Here you can see a group ordering different worldly flavors from everywhere. If they don't show it, they probably can put something together for you. Every dish that I have eaten there has been impressive in plating and even stellar in flavor...
Although I did not partake, the bar with wine looks to be stocked and beers are a good value. For an open air dining room just above the street, the place is always clean and bright. No oversight here with regard to general conditions.
Typically have a signboard out front showing the daily bill of fare with reduced prices also. Something for everyone. The guys on the street will usher you to the two different menus at the podium that clearly describe the dish with price so that you can make a decision and even order before commiting to a table. The prices for most everything in my experience are quite reasonable here and can actually be exciting in the off season when the staff is bored.
And, last but not the least...the staff...they all seem to understand from the start that a prosperous business, restaurant, is built upon great service... and that they do! Several people speak several different languages so communication is not so conditional. Thanks again for describing the menu when necessary and making suggestions about local dishes, customs and ingredients.
Give them a try and you will probably return next time when you are back in the...
Read moreI decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim while passing through the area. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience pleasant.
The menu offers a mix of Thai 🇹🇭 and Indian 🇮🇳 dishes, with plenty of vegetarian 🥑 and vegan 🌱 options to choose from. The food was tasty and full of spice 🥵perfect for those who enjoy bold flavors.
The dining space is fairly basic, with an average-sized dining room and a few tables available on the terrace. Prices are in range of the area, making it a reasonable choice for a meal.
It’s worth noting that Ao Nang has an overwhelming number of Indian restaurants, which can give the feeling of being in Mumbai rather than Thailand. From my perspective, night markets remain the best dining option, at least you have the opportunity to see the food being cooked right in front of you, adding a touch of authenticity and excitement to the dining experience.
And lastly, this restaurant is by far not a high-end establishment, it serves its purpose as a convenient dining option in a busy tourist...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Curry House Krabi, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Thai food experiences I’ve had! The flavors were absolutely spot on—rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Every dish tasted freshly made with quality ingredients.
I ordered the green curry and pad Thai, and both were incredible. The green curry had just the right level of spice and creaminess, and the portion was generous. The pad Thai was perfectly stir-fried with a delicious mix of tangy tamarind, crunchy peanuts, and tender noodles.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was cozy and clean, with a relaxed vibe that made the whole experience even better.
If you’re in Krabi and craving authentic Thai food, Curry House Krabi is a must-visit. Highly...
