Tandoori Grill — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Came for lunch as we arrived from Phuket and were super hungry. These guys ushered us in Hindi as we were Indian tourists. We ordered a couple of beers, a coke and 6 items from the menu (bill attached). We ordered for chilled water and they served us 2 bottles of room temperature water with 2 glassfuls of ice. I asked them for chilled bottles as we saw the ice delivered in a dirty sack a few minutes ago. Two other tables were occupied later by Europeans in one and Americans in the other. By that time our food was served and we noticed that those tables were served with chilled water bottles. On enquiring again, they started lying through their teeth and even snatched a sealed bottle and glasses from our table. We asked for the manager and a janitor called Chhotu from Burma arrived and started giving excuses again. I asked for Tabasco but no, that wasn’t in stock too. An empty bottle of Tabasco adorned the cash counter though just for show. The staff was outright rude and food was just about average. I will certainly not recommend this restaurant to any tourists especially Indians. Honestly I didn't read the reviews before coming. The were 4 of us. All extremely picky eaters too. When we arrived, there weren't many people in there. We were starving and didn't care if the food was not that good. We expected the food to be mediocre. We were pleasantly surprised!! The food was absolutely delicious! My mom, Aunt and girlfriend are all Thai, and speak fluent Thai. The guy who was taking our order was not Thai speaking, and we had questions about some of the Thai food. So he went in the back and brought one of the women cooks out. She answered all of our questions, and we ordered a bunch of food. Thai food, Indian food, and pizza 🥰 Every single thing that we ordered was absolutely delicious, and fresh, including the pizza! Which I thought was gonna be not that great.

Towards the end of our meal, they got really busy, and I feel as if they were kinda understaffed. Took a while to get our last item we ordered, they over charged us, but then fixed it as soon as we told them.

This restaurant gave me and my friend the worst food poisoning we’ve ever had! After having the pad Thai here we were sick over a period of 6 hours and meant we had to check into a hotel from a hostel for which we could barely walk to. Now 3 days on I’m still laid in bed trying to regain my strength all because of this clearly extremely unhygienic restaurant. If a baby, immunosuppressed or elderly person was to go through what we went through it could have killed them. The menu had over 500 items on it for which when we went back to the restaurant to confront the staff they explained that every dish was made fresh everyday with 6-7 portions of each so they would make 3000 portions a day!? When the restaurant always looked 1/2 empty with maximum 200 covers a day! Adding to this, when we ordered the food it arrived in approximately 5 minutes which we did question as a red flag for it just being reheated food, as Pad Thai cannot be made so quickly… please for your own sanity do not go to this restaurant, it needs...
