Took a chance on the place, thought the other reviews seemed ok. We were picked up for free which was unusual but a nice service. When we arrived up the top of hill at around 15:00 - 16:00 and it was a ghost town, no one else was there (and it’s a big place, so you really notice it) so atmosphere didn’t exist, but maybe we were just far too early. The staff were pleasant in fairness to them, attentive and friendly enough. And the view over the bay was great too! But most importantly, the food was not good at all, simply no other way to put it. We’ve been pretty adventurous in Thailand, only ordering Thai food for the whole trip - this was the worst we’ve had, drinks included in that. Just pure disappointment. Order two different crab dishes, one of which was mostly sauce, and the other which was “salted egg” which had a grainy, off-putting texture. Very little crab in either dish, they gave us only legs; I suspect that the meat from the main body was removed and used for other dishes. Also, it was much more expensive than much better places in Ao Nang, though these places are hard to find. If you like food, and you’ve been loving Thai food, you should avoid this. If you like to drink, enjoy a good view, and are more into pizza and chips, then this place may...
Read moreSadly to experience: Booked table for new years eve, ordered our food, Served in awkward stages so every one ate on their own.... Lat but least 1 did not get his main course at all after 1.5 hours, we complaint and got told that kitchen did not have that particular missing order, asked for the bill and it was on the bill. Complained again and finally could pay but sadly our booked new years eve night was spoiled. Be careful when ordering mash potatoes as a side dish, its serves as a scoop of icecream in a bowl, not worth digging into as it was dry and poorly presented. We asked for a additional portion of french fries that never arrived, pork steak is more like the poorest part of a pig grilled full of fat, sea bass grilled looked great and thumbs up as it came even deboned to save the hassle. All in all, a high rated restaurant with caotic service and lack of presentation and detail for the prices you get charged. 5 people , 4 adults and a child walked out dissapointed and 3000 thai/k lighter 3 out of 10 sorry PS When getting a taxi or tuck tuck make sure you get dropped off at the top of the hill as its a steep...
Read moreThe restaurant provides free transport service from your hotel if you stay in Ao Nang area, which was very convenient for us - both pick up and drop-off.
Food was great- we ordered 4 kinds of dishes for two people including one white Sangria. Pork (chinese sauce) was good as expected and recommended by a lot of people, fried squid with lime and chill sauce was very tasty as well as fried prawns with glass noodle. We ordered one more rice (called Fried rice with crab meat) - it was great as well eating together with prawns and pork. They serve one spicy sauce together to have it with fried rice but it was a bit spicy for me.
Sangria was okay nothing very special. Was a bit small portion and it wasn't cold enough. But understandable because they probably were concerned about it would become watery.
Overall, we satisfied having last dinner and glad to call them before dine in to make a reservation and got to know about free transport service. It has very nice open view but if you have sensitive skin with mosquitos please carry one spray to...
