Somtam Hua Saphan — Restaurant in Krabi Province

This place has amazing Isaan food! I asked for recommendations on where to find good local shops and this was on the list. I have eaten twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch.

The somtam is incredibly fresh and tasty. I like spicy food more than most foreigners and this does not disappoint! It leaves me crying, lol.

The grilled pork neck is outstanding, as is the northern Thai sausage. I will try the larb moo next time I'm in.

I have found the portions to be generous and the prices quite reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll be back probably several more times during my stay here in Krabi.

Best place to eat in Krabi town if your looking for authentic northern Thai food. Barbecued fish with fantastic sauce, homemade sausages again with fantastic sauce, duck salad, pork salad and an atmosphere that is great. I hear that their somtum(papaya salad) is great as well, but too spicy for me😢 Grandma is working the somtum station, and another sweet lady is working the bbq. The staff is beyond courtious, and the prices are very good. Menu's are offered only in Thai, but I'm sure you'll find some of the staff speaks at least enough English to get you some fantastic food in your belly. Good and super cheap food starting at 0.8$ per menu. Total bill is like 20$ for 8 menu we order that day. Next to the road and street parking available. A lot of local student eat here that mean student still effort the food. Authentic Esan food from local but they just move to southern for business. If you want to have a nice and real Esan while traveling to the southern or Krabi come and try this one. You will love it.
