Lemongrass Restaurant, Ao Nang – A Culinary Gem in Krabi
If you're in Ao Nang, Krabi, and seeking a delightful dining experience, Lemongrass Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Known for its exceptional blend of Thai flavors and fresh ingredients, this charming spot quickly made its way to the top of my list for the best meals I've had in years.
The restaurant's atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, providing a cozy setting for both locals and tourists. The service was attentive and friendly, setting the stage for a memorable evening.
The star of the show, however, was the food. Everything I tried was exceptional, but one dish stood out above the rest—the Pineapple Fried Rice. Served in a hollowed-out pineapple, the dish was a perfect balance of savory and sweet, with a delightful mix of vegetables, shrimp, and a delicate spiciness that was just right. The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, a true testament to the quality of ingredients used in every dish.
Portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left feeling completely satisfied without compromising on quality. It's clear that Lemongrass takes great pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients to craft authentic Thai dishes that both satisfy and delight.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Lemongrass is a must for anyone who appreciates great food in a cozy, welcoming environment. Highly...
Read moreSo disappointing. The waiter did not speak even the basic amount of English. My pot of tea came as a teabag in a pot of hot water. I had to ask for sugar, milk and even a teaspoon. When the milk eventually came, it was in a separate cup. I meant milk for my tea (which should surely be inclusive??), but I was charged an additional amount for a cup of milk. I can blame it on translation problems, but it was very obvious that the waiter had never served a cup of tea before, ever. And this is a restaurant that serves breakfast?? That's only mentioning the trauma of ordering a cup of tea. Don't let me even start on the food. Honestly, it was such a bad and costly mistake going there that I almost felt the need to warn other people at the door. This review is taking my time and effort, which tells just exactly how unhappy I was. No salt and pepper on the table. No sugar sachets on the table. Waiter can't communicate. Staff not trained. Visible tension and confusion in the kitchen / cashier area. Very overpriced. Customer must keep asking for things that should either already be on the table, or brought with the order. Like a teaspoon to...
Read moreWe came across this restaurant on Google while searching for a place to celebrate my sister’s 21st. Randomly called Lemongrass and spoke to the manager. Manager was very accommodating and was willing to arrange a simple decoration with balloons and a cake for my sister on a very short notice. Literally called in the morning and everything was set up by the evening. 5 stars for the effort the team put in, to communicate with us, organised balloons with colour theme as requested and also balloons with my sister’s name. They also organised a cake which was paid for by us at the end of the evening.
Our family was a table of 14pax.
Food was excellent, in fact the best food we had on the main street during our trip. Authentic Thai food, portions were small but we were informed about it earlier. Definitely recommend Creamy Tom Yum, Pad Thai and the Basil Chicken. Steamed fish was nice too.
Everyone was polite.
Highly recommended to dine in Lemongrass if you’re at...
