This was the most horrible restaurant experience i've ever encountered in my entire life! This was my second time going to this restaurant at Phi Phi, the first time was ok...average food and service. This time around we brought my boyfriends parents with us and they wanted to eat seafood so we took them here. The moment we arrived we were attended by an unfriendly waitress. We didn't pay attention to that but everything got worse and worse. My boyfriend ordered his main course first as we were still indecisive but he kindly asked the waitress to wait and serve everything together...5 minutes later we ordered the rest of the food. My boyfriend's bbq beef skewers arrived first, 5 minutes later the second dish arrived...both my boyfriend and his father finished their food and 15 minutes later mine arrived...my order was wrong and the waiter got really mad and refused to take the dish back to the kitchen, I insisted that it was the wrong order and he finally took it back with a rude impolite attitude closing the menu so hard on my face and turning his back. Finally my dish came after 15 minutes, I finished eating and my boyfriends mother STILL DIDNT GET HER DISH!!! She decided after 1 hour that she didn't want to eat there anymore and so we asked for the bill. My boyfriend went and asked for the bill because no waiter was coming to our table anyway...The guy he asked the bill from was so aggressive to the point that he was pushing my boyfriend and touching him and looking at us all asking "WHAT"?? We were flabbergasted and couldn't believe at what was happening. The bill came and my mother in law dish that she dint receive was there! We politely complaint (seen he was so hostile) and he threatened us to call the police and started making a scene. We went to pay and that waiter was even worse, telling us that we have enough money, and why we didn't want to pay black bla...another bad mannered, rude hostile and aggressive waiter. He was the worse! Didn't want to talk or understand that it wasn't about the money but the bad way they treated us from the beginning! He thought we didn't want to pay and kept on talking about that... we explained and explained but still no apology or remorse at all. He was mocking us and not taking us seriously at all! They took the dish we didn't receive out of the bill (no discount at all) we payed and left! They were still laughing behind us...What a horrid, disgusting restaurant! I've never experienced anything like this before! Please do not waste your time or money here! The food, let alone the service is worth it! There are many lovely amazing places at Phi Phi but not this one!

Generally, dead crabs should not be eaten, especially if they have been dead for a long time. Bacteria inside the crab multiply rapidly and produce histamine and toxic substances, which can cause food poisoning if consumed. However, if the crab has just died, you can check the following: 1. Smell: If there is no foul odor, the crab is not severely spoiled. 2. Check the meat: If the meat is firm and has not changed color, it might still be edible. 3. Cook thoroughly: If you decide to eat it, make sure to cook it at high temperatures to kill bacteria and reduce the risk of toxins. To be safe, it is best not to eat dead crabs, especially if you are unsure how long they have been dead! I had some diarrhea after eating. The fish wasn’t fresh either—really frustrating. The ingredients weren’t fresh, and even the rice was hard to swallow since it was coarse rice.

There were 2 staff members by the name of Faa and Sayyank/ Sayyath.. I ordered for shrimp Red Thai curry.. by the time food reached my table, the food wasn’t hot enough, I asked sayyath to heat it and she just wouldn’t stop fussing and flaring her nostrils, throwing out unpleasant expressions.. as a customer if I’m requesting for the food to be reheated- why is it an offence.. it doesn’t stop here, one of the prawns wasn’t clean - but dare I say anything to the staff, as the restaurant manager was equally impolite and lacked the professionalism to be a manager. She was frown-some, bloating nostrils and giving out unpleasant expressions. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE like horrible - if I could give a minus rating. I definitely would have!!! The food wasn’t great and the rice that came along seem to be couple of days old

A shipwreck of a meal: tonsai seafood disappoints on all fronts Let's be honest, Koh phi phi offers a bounty of fresh seafood experiences. Sadly, tonsai seafood isn't one of them. My recent visit was a culinary cruise that ran aground faster than a flounder on a sandbar.

Atmosphere: The ambience reeked of missed opportunities.

The Catch (of disappointment): The menu promised a bounty from the sea. My steak was hairy and my girlfriend's pasta was atrocious. The mussels were more like scrawny minnows, and tasted suspiciously like they had spent more time on the dock than in the ocean and were rawer than my nans vagina. Even the sides were a shipwreck - the bread was soggy and the sauce was pure vinegar.

Service Ahoy Matey? Our server, bless her heart, seemed more invested in chatting with her colleagues and balancing due to her weight than listening to us. Fat cow.

Price of the Plunder: The only thing saltier than the undercooked mussels was the final bill. For the subpar quality and service, tonsai seafood charges an exorbitant price. You're better off throwing your money in the ocean and hoping for a lucky catch.

Final Verdict: Unless you're a masochistic seagull looking for a stale french fry, avoid tonsai seafood like a shark avoids chum. There's a plethora of fantastic food restaurants in Koh phi phi waiting to serve you a delicious, fresh catch. Do yourself a favor and find...
